yeah it definitely does get way too smoky. It's just a crowded closed space with much ventilation, seems like

Worst case is you're outta $62, and the best case is you win a lot of the lower bets and hit on the $32 spin and walk away with double or possibly even more of your original stake. Read the following to understand how to use this system:

First time I tried it, I lost $62 right off the bat. Second time, I sat with 2 buddies for an hour, had 4 or 5 beers, and won $240. My other friends won a little less than me. My latest experiences have fallen somewhere in between
I like that strategy! Might have to give it a try sometime!
I still need to try out this strategy!

        No real strategy to roulette.
EVERY bet on roulette has the exact same odds of hitting (except the 0, 00, 1, 2, 3 bet on double 0 wheels which is a complete sucker bet)..
And having a house edge of 5%+ on double 0 wheels makes me want to stay away from them when im in vegas, but it can be such a fun game

There is a saying that a skilled roulette dealer can spin a ball to within 3-5 segments should they wish so I play the following strategy (and have been burned enough times as well) doing it:

Play a segment of the wheel

                e.g 3, 15, 21, 24, 34, 36

All the above numbers on American roultette are next to each other on the wheel so in effect you are playing a "pocket" of the wheel which cuts down your odds of a number hitting to 7/1 (but obviously paying odds of 33/1) as there are 6 other consecutive pockets.

If a number hits I buy the 13 and I forget the 2nd number but essentially enlarging the pocket either side bring odds down to 6/1.

In theory if you tip dealer well then there is a hope they will spin the wheel for this particular pocket however with job security and evil eyed pit bosses I am concensus that at times they do exact opposite and this is where this strat falls down,

Anyway worth sharing for those that want something different to "doubling up on red/black"

                  4 things

                  1. Euro wheel
                  B. Quad system
                  3. Cruise ship
                  D. Chase betting
*Bonus - Any game with a wheel

                  1. Look for a euro wheel if you're ying black and red. Also pay attention to the quad or segments you're playing. The Euro wheel is different.

                  B. The segment or quad system works if you talk to and tip the dealer.

                  3. Play roulette on the last day of a cruise, tell the dealer you've lost 5k on the boat playing. They will slow roll the wheel until you get like 3-4k back. They want you to come back on the boat and usually on the last night they stay open later to make more money and nobody else will be in there. I have done this twice and I learned it by seeing another guy doing it once so I have witnessed it 3 x.

                  D. Chase betting is dumb unless you have an unlimited bank roll and you are allowed an unlimited max bet - which I have never heard of... Chase betting is when you bet $20 lose $40 lose $80 lose etc. Also called progressive losing... :-)

BONUS - Any game in a casino with a wheel is a dumb game to play if you're seriously looking to win money. They are fun but huge money makers for the casinos.

I try the segment strategy around the number 17 (my own stupid superstition, lol). Has worked well for me in the past, I like it better than the regular bets though it's obviously the same odds.

Never tried telling/tipping the dealer while doing this though, will definitely speak up next time.

You need to go to higher end casinos to find those
                          Bellagio, Caesers etc
They are usually a fair bit more pricier however the house edge is cut in half when you take away that extra zero

I used to go to Stratosphere mainly just to play their single zero roulette table. I don't make many trips to Stratosphere anymore when I go to Vegas, but you might try there if you're looking for single zero roulette tables.

I've only played 3 times before, might start playing it more until I lose a couple times. First time I was just trying to get my 100 back I lost playing blackjack and slots, got up 50 but then lost it on red/black bet betting what I won. Played it last Friday/Saturday, I won about 100 Friday night then 1000 in about 5-10 minutes betting 50 dollars before I left the casino with the girlfriend. Hit it about 6 out of 8 times on the thirds bets. Went back to the a different casino that Saturday night since I was up, won another 100 playing the thirds bets, last hand I bet 110 just to try and get up to to 430 to leave, lost it and left with the 100 I won. Friday night and Saturday night I was just doing 10 dollar bets, if I won that I stacked the 30, won that, stacked to 90, then would pull whatever I didn't want to bet if I won that. If I lost, oh well it was only 10 dollars out my pocket each spin I lost.

I bet numbers related to the Denver Broncos, which is as useful to you as any other roulette strategy you'll hear.
