Perfect philosophy IMO. I do something very similiar if I play, but with different teams

For sure, it's all luck. There really is no skill in it. Even though I'm sure when the dealers are allowed to look while they spin they can kind of figure around the area the ball will land. Went back to a different casino last night and put in $150. Ended up leaving with $900. Should've not played the last couple times but I was getting bored when I was drunk and my girl was trying to play blackjack and slots. Lost a $500 dollar bet when I cashed out the first time after I lost that one. Then lost another $350 off 3 bets later that night. Played the 1st 12, 2nd 12, 3rd 12 again.

I personally hate electronic table games. The whole purpose of a game like roulette is the randomness of the wheel....it is impossible for a computer to be truly random. It bothers me to think a programmer setup a computer to pay out strictly by the odds the casino sets. I don't see how you can hit a true "hot streak" on a computer controlled game.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Strategies depends on situation or algorithms (for RNG), mine though is Martingale Strategy. This is one of the best strategies I came across while playing roulette. Just find a roulette table with a small minimum and high maximum bets. Bet a small amount on black or red, even or odd, 1-18 or 19-36. If you win, pocket your winnings and bet the same small amount. If you lose, double the amount you last wagered and place the bet on the same color again.

              The problems with this are:
              1) The 0 and 00 spaces and
              2) The large bankroll needed to play such a strategy

Yeah, TECHNICALLY you can never lose money with this strategy. But you're also only winning your initial bet each time you finally win. That's kind of a boring way to grind out winnings.

Even if you start with a $5 bet, 8 losses in a row would put your 9th bet at $640 and if you lose that one, fuck, you're at $1,280 for your bet after that. This always seems like a good strategy for a little while, but it's like chrisbru says, it's a REALLY boring way to grind out winnings and I've been on plenty of roulette tables that have hit the same color 8 or 9 times in a row, so unless you literally have thousands of dollars to back yourself up with the only upside being that you'll be profiting at most, $5 a hand it's not really worth it.

Granted, you can minimize your losses even more by finding a roulette table that only has a single zero and no double zero, which would cut the house edge in half, but even then this isn't a very solid idea when you consider the risk involved.

The last few times I've played roulette I've used a simple system. Worse case, I hang out for a couple hours on a $100 buy in and enjoy some free drinks. A couple times I leave a $100-200 up. It's really simple. You place six bets on groups of four numbers all the way down the board.

                  For Example: 1-2-4-5, 8-9-11-12, 13-14-16-17, 20-21-23-24, 25-26-28-29, 32-33-35-36

If I get up a bit I'll bump my bet on the same number groups. If I get up more I'll throw out a few single number bets.
If I get back to my original buy in, then I go back to the original strategy and wait it out. Of course I tip well on the first round and the server keeps em coming. Great way to chat people up, have some drinks, and extend your bank roll. You won't hit big, but if you're in it for entertainment it's a good way to go.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

ay back then, roulette game seems to be based purely on chance. Maybe there are certain strategies and tricks you can use to maximize profits and minimize losses. But then again, nothing can guarantee you 100% of winnings in every bet. Btw, my preferred methods are red/black, high/low, or odd/even. Those have much better chance of not losing your money.
