Or just use hosts listed on here, seems like most people haven't had any problems.

At the end of the day hosts are human too so if everything isn't perfect, hey, it happens. Some things are out of their control too.

I don't think using a brand new club in a brand new hotel on probably the craziest night of the year for what was basically their grand opening is a good means of gauging a club or club host though, kinda like I'd never go out to eat on Valentines Day and expect the same level of service as any other ordinary day. Except x10 haha

While sometimes there may better deals out there than the hosts listed on here, what the contacts here are listed for is reliability. The hosts featured here are often more senior level hosts at their respective property, but not always.

While I do personally know almost ALL of the hosts featured here, they're not always the person I use... but I would definitely vouch for any of them as great go-to guys at their clubs/lounges/pools.

and the more I read, it sounds like the Concierge happened to have Darryll's Cell#.

i think the whole point of this post has been lost.

Highjacked by the VIP hosts that trawl the forum, twisting the view of people reading it.

As I mentioned, try usuing a host mentioned on this site, then try another way when you get to vegas, compare the deals offered and take the best one.

Uhhh dude only one host has replied to this thread?

As we keep asking though, what are the names of the hosts who gave you these supposedly bad deals?

I have used the hosts listed here and not once did I have a single problem with them. They are honest and a pleasure to deal with. Through these hosts I got deals that other hosts didn't want to give me, saying those deals aren't possible.

In your case, $10k min for dance floor table at Marquee on Grand Opening weekend, which also happened to be NYE weekend...what did you expect? Did you expect a type of deal that you would receive in your hometown?

my god! yes I have used hosts on here and never had a problem either, until i opened my eyes and tried another way, then I saw what the difference was.

Stop being so defensive about the hosts, if u want to use them fine, but its not the only way.

I think the reason people are defending the hosts, they've done SO MUCH for so many people on this site and you're acting like every host on this site is out to rip people off... which is totally not the case... most of us have had great experiences with them.

Can you name the hosts who supposedly gave you the bad deals and what they were, compared to what the concierge did for you?

I can give you the list, but I choose not to, whats the point?

Im not on here to 'personally' abuse hosts or to make them look bad. In the end, for me I saw that I was getting taken for a ride by the majority of them because I was a tourist to the city.

Once again the point is being missed, I also had great experiences with the hosts in the past and they gave me great service to, I used to think that was the only way to organise tables for the clubs.

This latest trip I found out an alternate way to arrange tables for the clubs and it worked for me, not only did I get the tables that I wanted but it saved me alot of $ in the process too.

For me personally, I tipped the concierge $ for their service, gave them my list and the deals offered for the clubs I organised before I came to vegas, they then rang whoever their contacts were with the clubs and got me better deals.

It may not be the concierge that works for people, it may be the front reception.......what ever, the point is that dont take the 1st offer as the be all and end all, there is ways to save some $ and not get ripped off.

As I have learnt, $ talks in vegas, put it in the right persons pocket and it can save you alot of hassle and $ in the end.

I get what he's saying, that hosts aren't the only way of reserving bottle service at clubs and that they don't always have the best prices.

The blanket statement that hosts are out to rip you off is untrue and complaining about NYE pricing is crazy, but that doesn't make the point less true.

There's always a less expensive way to go about things. For example you can take a taxi or a limo to get somewhere, both get the job done but one is more enjoyable and therefore costs a little more. Same logic applies to not using a host, yeah you're getting a table but is it tucked away in a corner? Will anyone check in on you? The hosts on this forum are recommended for a reason, they consistently provide great service and they work hard to do so.

Bottom line good hosts are your concierge in a nightclub and will bend of backwards to make sure your expensive night is successful.

personally in my case, the concierge organised with hosts from the clubs, I am guessing that they had personal dealings with them in the past because they got us good deals, better deals than what I got offered prior to leaving for my trip.

Once we were at the clubs the, we met our hosts and they did take good care of us.

I suppose its just logical, when a person is talking to a local, the local knows whether its a good deal or not, when they are talking to an out of towner, how are they to know what is a good deal? they will get offered 1 thing and think its the deal of the century! I am the first to admit that I thought the same way.

Back at the start of the thread, I mentioned that I got offered dancefloor tables for $3K + extras when I preorganised it through here, then when I got to vegas a local organised these same tables at the same clubs for 3 bottle mins in most cases......nearly half the price when I sent them the request with the overseas email address :-).

That is my main point in this discussion, look around because it is to your benefit, dont just use the direct contacts given here and think there is no other way of getting the tables you want for a better price.

Use these contacts as your starting point, not as your one stop shop.

I don't see why you wouldn't give the list? Whats the point in trying to warn us if you don't actually give us any names? How can we be on the lookout for mystery hosts?

I think that you have a great point, one in fact that I use myself, BUT you were just on edge and made a hasty thread topic :P

Along these lines, over NYE I called Ryan Perrings for Thurs night at Tryst and he was more than helpful and offered a great deal, but I ended up going through Darryll because he was able to secure a b1g1. If you can and have the options, you ALWAYS want to shop around, but Ryan Perrings is still solid even though he didn't have the best deal THIS time.
