please let us know where you got a 2 bottle table on nye? new years day i can see that as possible (although at marquee, 10k was what they were quoting anyone) my friend is a host there and he had to turn away 6 tables that offered to do between 5-10k, and that's just while i was having lunch with him for about an hour. it was their opening weekend, and the casino had control of most of the tables for their VIP guests in town. the hosts on the forum are all pretty solid people, i am friends with many of them. and if i know the referral is coming from jackcolton, i always try to go above and beyond, because i know the guests will spread the word, which results in more business in the future

Serious though never been to Vegas dont know anyone in Vegas so i fully intend to use this site to make my booking and take the advise from people here.
To anyone reading this thread and thinking twice about using the service Jack is providing and thinking what's the trick with this site (i did). Well i for one don't think there really is one from reading these boards and following what goes on for a few months its just like any other forum community has its old boys club ofc, but i for one don't think nothing sinister goes on here!. I hope anyway don't let me down!.

Sorry to ressurect an old thread.. but I felt compelled to write something cause I see the OPs point..it seems people were reading the title and it made it hard to take the rest of the post seriously..
My experience with any of the contacts from this site have been good and I have referred other people that have also had good experiences so I don't agree with the title at all. But that being said, in my opinion I think a concierge is a realiable source and will have good pull with the club because a host or club would not want to piss off the concierge by not coming through for them, cause that would mean in the future the concierge/hotel will not send their big 'whales' their way.. I think even a top tier club needs to be nice to the concierge .. they have their slow nights too and they'd rather have the hotel tell some dude that just won a jackpot on a slotmachine on a tuesday night that the hot girls are over at Studio 55 and not at XS.
Maybe things work differently in vegas and a concierge is not so important there, but I've worked in a bar before (not in vegas) where we always sucked ass to concierges at hotels. We pissed off one by adding a gratuity to one of THEIR guests which we weren't supposed to, and the owner and manager went to the hotel to personally apologize to make things right...
But that being said, I'd probably still want to contact the host over the concierge because, A, I'm not a 'whale' and the concierge might not really care about me if I'm not staying in a suite, and B, I'd rather not have so many people in between.
to the OP, sounds like you are quite the partier! I don't think I could do ten nights in a row.. after two or three it takes me like three or four months to recover.

Or the OP is quite the something else....Originally posted by kori View Postto the OP, sounds like you are quite the partier!
No host here or elsewhere is a 100% sure fire guarantee to get you what you want, but in my experience they are very reliable (and cover most all clubs)......One suggestion I would make with dealing with the hosts is to try to get them to give you an honest assessment if there is risk of you getting bumped on a particular night....If that is the case, try arriving early (10ish) as this decreases the chances of getting bumped....if they tell you there is risk, having a Plan B for the night is advised....It only ever happened to me once.....Justin T-Lake and crew decided to come to Lavo one night when I had a table reserved...he and his crew took like 70% of the tables in the place....lots of people, me included, got bumped and there was nothing the host could do about it.....had I arrived at 10 instead of 11:30, this could have been avoided....Last edited by Spock; 02-02-2011, 06:35 PM.

They see ur a tourist and just try to rip you off, places like XS, Tryst, Surrender, Lavo were quoting $3K for tables in a good location in the clubs. The funniest one we got quoted was $10K to get a good table at Marquee on 01/01!!!
If you really want to get it organised, properly by a local who has the right contacts, do it through the concierge at your hotel, we stayed in the Palms and gave the concierge a couple of hundred up front, not only did they get us great deals, great locations with their own contacts in the clubs, but places that were quoting us $2-$3K for the table we were looking for we ended up getting for 2-3 bottle minimums.
Once again, don't waste your time pre-organising, give your hotel concierge a good tip and let them organise it for you!!
Vegas rocks, we have been there for the past 3 years straight for Xmas/NYE period, each time a 10 night straight clubbing holiday, can't recommend the place enough!!

MK

I'll start taking these threads seriously when someone with more than two posts, has an avatar, Facebook, someone I've actually met, or someone anyone else on this board has actually met makes one.
Until then the anonymous guy that had a bad experience with a mystery host holds no credibility.<3 Live, Laugh, Love <3

LOL!!!
thats all I have to say to some of the rubbish replies.
It's funny that this is still going.
How else does the concierge book a table? of course through a host .... how else would the do it???
But when I did it direct with the host, i got quoted alot more $ for the tables I wanted than when the concierge called the host when I got to vegas.

Might be an idea that we also start a thread to watch out for hosts that rip off tourists.
I always refer to people coming to vegas to see this site as it is the best one I have come across that tells you the ins and outs of clubbing in vegas, but, also as a tourist to vegas, I think its worthwhile to highlight this issue to, just to keep a 50/50 perspective and to keep us 'tourists' on guard against rorts.
But I would put money on it that 'tourists' using this site organised their tables through the hosts mentioned here and did not know any better and thought they were getting a deal, I admit I thought the same way until this last trip.
Once again, I have nothing against any of the host, the service / quick responses etc were great, its just the pricing quoted.???? Make your mind up mate ????Originally posted by MK01 View PostI can give you the list, but I choose not to, whats the point?
Im not on here to 'personally' abuse hosts or to make them look bad. In the end, for me I saw that I was getting taken for a ride by the majority of them because I was a tourist to the city.
Once again the point is being missed, I also had great experiences with the hosts in the past and they gave me great service to, I used to think that was the only way to organise tables for the clubs.
This latest trip I found out an alternate way to arrange tables for the clubs and it worked for me, not only did I get the tables that I wanted but it saved me alot of $ in the process too.
For me personally, I tipped the concierge $ for their service, gave them my list and the deals offered for the clubs I organised before I came to vegas, they then rang whoever their contacts were with the clubs and got me better deals.
It may not be the concierge that works for people, it may be the front reception.......what ever, the point is that dont take the 1st offer as the be all and end all, there is ways to save some $ and not get ripped off.
As I have learnt, $ talks in vegas, put it in the right persons pocket and it can save you alot of hassle and $ in the end.
