So far everything I've heard about the contacts here at JC along with my own personal experiences with them have been stellar. No complaints from me. NYE is probably the most expensive night in LV and Marquee's grand opening, obviously it wasn't cheap. I think Dr. Dre was there, Jay Z was there, a few others as well. I know I heard plenty of Dr. Dre on NYE right before the midnight hour, our group was standing right outside Cosmo between Cosmo and PH....
Maybe you could tell us which hosts you used that didn't give you satisfactory service?anonanon

NYE is one of those nights that have a premium cost to it..
I know LAVO offered open bar for 2 hours, passes food, champagne toast and our dance floor best tables in the house went for 5k and that came with 5 bottles..
I know cause i reserved several of them for my clients..
sorry you had a bad experience, but NYE is unlike another night..
And for the most part MARQUEE wassn't even opened to the public unless you were willing to do a high minimum.. Most tables were taken by the casino.. The fact that you were even offered a table for 10k is suprising to me, because many minimums much much higher than 10k were turned down..

Couldn't have said it better myself!Originally posted by royale View PostPalms clubs vs XS/Marquee? The hosts on this site gave you the right price, and so did the concierge. One is just not worth as much as the other.
Actually come to think of it, you probably wasted those hundos to the concierge. You probably could've gotten a better deal with a direct Palms host.2012 Travel Itinerary

"Don't Waste Your Time contacting VIP Hosts mentioned on this site". This is a very bold statement first of all.
I am glad you got the deal that worked out for you. Main goal is to get the deal you want and have a good time so if you can accomplish this thru the hosts mentioned on this site or thru the hotel concierge or thru whoever that's great but it doesn't mean that channel you went thru is the best and other channels are waste of time. Expectations you have or what considered a good deal for you might not be same for another person.
If you read ''Host Appreciation Thread'' you will see that many different forum members from all over the world had great experiences with the hosts mentioned on this site. I can personally vouch for couple different hosts i contacted because of this site. Not only for bottle service deals they are helping the members to skip crazy lines, avoid any hassle to get into the clubs or comp covers etc. Because you got quoted $10k for the good table at hottest club in the town on NYE weekend (as other members mentioned already this sounds a like fair deal) it doesn't mean that hosts on this site are waste of time.''In 1969 I gave up women and alcohol - it was the worst 20 minutes of my life.'' - George Best

Lol
how funny, talk about the hosts getting on the defensive!! Looks like they are trying their hardest to save their table reservation cut!
These are the clubs I went to in vegas: -
Pure, Vanity, Moon, XS, Jet, Tao, Marquee, Haze, Tryst, Bank
10 nights, 10 different clubs.
I got nothing to prove other than just to make the tourists know ther that pre-booking your table through VIP hosts noted here is not the only way, here they know ur a tourist, up the price for a table reservation cause they know ull pay.
Example, I got quoted $3K Min spend + 20% gratuity + 8.1% plus $500 tip for host for a dance floor table by the host from Tryst, I ended up getting it for 3 Bottle minimum by using locals in vegas who know each other. I have got numerous examples like that.
Like I said I have nothing to prove, got nothing against these people they are all trying to make a $ like everyone, and when someone like a tourist doesn't know the ropes in vegas, thats where these people / clubs can make the most for themselves. All I am saying is that if u are smart about it, you can get better value by using local people who are in the know there.
we were buying the grey goose magnums there and most expensive i recall was $1190, which counted for 2 bottles.
Say what u will, but as a tourist who comes regularly to Vegas for clubbing holidays, I NOW know what is the best way that works for me.
Give it a shot, book tables through here, then when u get there get a local that works in vegas like a concierge etc etc to try organise it and see if u get a better deal.

As mentioned above, whatever way helps you and your friends have the best time possible is the best channel to use.
That said, I wouldn't advise against talking to hotel concierge about getting on a guestlist or getting some free no cover passes, but they are absolutely not a reliably good way to get the best tables and / or better table deals. Doesn't mean it can't happen occasionally, but it isn't good advice to tell someone "thats who you need to talk to."
Hotel concierge staffers do not work for the club and do not have reliable pull at any one club group, aside of having their 'choice person' they refer people to - and that could be a new promoter or a host of any seniority.
The hosts listed on this site are usually senior established employees of the club (more pull) and this site collectively sends a very very substantial amount of business to the clubs (group pull) so our referrals tend to hold more weight. If a person doesn't already have an existing relationship with someone who can help them, then our list of hosts are a very good route to go through.
And, most importantly, demand states that prices will be through the roof on holiday weekends. I personally despise holiday weekends and suggest people come in the weeks before or after. Otherwise, plan on paying holiday weekend prices and dealing with holiday weekend crowds.

Sorry, ur right also, using the heading: -
'Don't Waste Your Time contacting VIP Hosts mentioned on this site'
Probobly wasn't the best use of words, but it was extremely frustrating.
I dont doubt the fact that the hosts can help skip lines / give good service etc, but from my experience, they bumped the price up alot compared to what i got offered when i got a local to organise it.

Part of the frustration of booking around a peak season weekend (especially NYE or MDW) is that prices are all over the map because of demand and so many hands in the proverbial 'pot.' You have casino marketing buying chunks of tables, independent hosting companies buying and reselling them, and (obviously) the clubs trying to make sure the highest bidder gets them. Makes it almost like booking an airline ticket and then asking the guy next to you what he paid, haha.Originally posted by MK01 View PostSorry, ur right also, using the heading: -

Either way, after your recent trip, you now have a set of people that you have an established a relationship with; the end goal for people who come to town often. Agree 100% with what u say Jack.
Might be an idea that we also start a thread to watch out for hosts that rip off tourists.
I always refer to people coming to vegas to see this site as it is the best one I have come across that tells you the ins and outs of clubbing in vegas, but, also as a tourist to vegas, I think its worthwhile to highlight this issue to, just to keep a 50/50 perspective and to keep us 'tourists' on guard against rorts.
But I would put money on it that 'tourists' using this site organised their tables through the hosts mentioned here and did not know any better and thought they were getting a deal, I admit I thought the same way until this last trip.
Once again, I have nothing against any of the host, the service / quick responses etc were great, its just the pricing quoted.

Absolutely. 95% of the time there aren't issues and our featured hosts are amazing for site users, but anytime at least several people bring up problems with a certain host and / or nightclub, I personally address it by temporarily removing the nightclub from the list(s), addressing the issue with both the listed host and at least one person independent of them at the club as to get the whole story (usually management), and then go from there.
XS, as an example, has been problematic since day one, both because of the popularity of the club and from miscommunication with the (former) listed host. Many members of the forums have had consistent amazing praise for Ryan Perrings, so when I relisted the club I removed the more established host as to go with one who had a better track record with our site users. We are happy to assist you with any questions you may have! What I sdont understand is this, Hosts are given properties in which they visit and meet staff memebers of..
My 2 hotels are PH and Cosmopolitan.
These 2 hotels call me with any request for my venue..
These hotels have a database of every club and 1 contact..
They dont make prices, they 9/10 direct you to a host..
and when a concierge takes a tip or charges a fee as you kinda stated, breakes alot of rules....
just saying..
maybe you requested a table late, and you got it, because it wasnt sold on NYE, that happens cause the prices are high..
my guess is you could have walked up and got that same dea on a unsold table and not having to tip a concierge for a help..
to each their own..
9/10 if you contact a host directly, you will get a better deal..
