Can you speak with the host beforehand about doing that? We did that at XS the time before last but it took the friend who managed to speak with the host about 30 minutes of pushing and being super aggressive to talk to him and convince them. I'm more than happy to make an agreement with the host to pay 20/10 to skip the line plus cover, but only if it doesn't involve as much effort of standing in line from someone in our party.
Yea, just get in touch with the host listed on this site.

BTW, are you an AAA member?
If you are, you will get around $100 dollars a night off at the PH Towers.
You have 8 people. Someone must be an AAA member.
I've heard nothing but horrible things about Blue Man, mostly that they are cool, but a huge waste of money. I will look in to O and Ka, and may even have to go to one of those 50% off things just to save money then. I thought Love might be cool too, but it is pricey as well.

And no, at least none of the 6 who are for sure going are AAA members. Bummer too, because that would make PH work out perfectly, but as it sits, it is 300 dollars more than what we have... and that's 300 we can use towards clubs/bottle service/etc.

Thanks for the tip, I am going to guess most of the reviewers paid the full 100+ price. I had tickets for when we were supposed to go in August for 50 each, in the middle, fairly close. If I can't find a crazy deal like that, I definitely will skip it. Love is the only one I have even second guessed paying that much for.

However, what if we know someone who isn't coming with us who is an AAA member?

Edit: Confirmed, girlfriend's step-dad is still an AAA member.

But I would look at it this way, you are paying an extra $300 for comfort the Luxor isn't going to provide you. The Luxor is old and run down....this place is new and modern. You get a full kitchen, 2 get bedrooms, get big ass projector screen, lemme phrase that better, you get shitload more than you would at the Luxor. Wow, I sound like freaking salesperson, trying to sell you this thing, LOL. If you want to WOW your gf this would be the way to do it, considering if you do the $20 trick (I usually do $50, works better), you can get a top floor unit overlooking the Bellagio fountains. Now imagine having sex with a view like that???? Now that will be a memory....LOL..... .....anyways its your decision, you'll have an awesome time no matter what.

BTW forgot to mention this previously, but that the is the weekend of the Pacqiao-Margarito fight, so Vegas will be crazy. So if you see any other good deals out there book them just in case, cuz closer it gets to that date, higher in price it will go.

I would get in touch with hotel and see if it is possible to see if you guys can book it, using his discount and see what the restrictions are.

Yep, that's why I'm booking like crazy. Wondered why that weekend was special, now I know.

I can look at it that way, but let me tell you how I see it: an extra $300 where someone gets shafted with a lousy sofabed, and otherwise the room is great.

Or we save $300, get a decent place to sleep (which is mostly all we will and ever do at the hotel) and drink, each person who wants one has a bed and we have an extra $300 to blow on bottle/table service/the clubs in general.

I'll have to call them after I get off here in a bit and see... If they can do that and save us 300 on PH Towers then I'm sold with no doubts in my mind. Even if part of the party flakes out.

I suppose if all else fails my tax return should be around 2000 like it usually is, but I won't know for sure on that until much later, and it's bad to plan on money you don't have.

Perhaps I will check with the AAA thing, and if it isn't possible, I'll just book one of those PH tower rooms anyway as well just in case.

We still have our two HRH rooms booked as well, they are only 60 more each room than the Luxor ones? Is Luxor bad enough we should just drop that plan all together? Only problem is if more people come then they will have to figure out rooms themselves.

You do what you feel will fit in your budget. Also, from what I read the couches are actually pretty damn comfortable. I know what you mean about not being in your room much. Last time I was in vegas I spent a maximum of 3hrs in my room and was when I was sleeping. But for those 3hrs I got sleep on a super comfortable bed....LOL... But also $300 won't go a long way in Vegas...I dunno about you, but for me personally its gone in a matter of 10min....lol

This last trip we went on (few days ago for two nights 3 days) I spent 340 total. Food, room, car rental, clubs, drinks, etc. I broke even on gambling so that doesn't count. And we won't count the gas that I bought for the car since I got ripped off there by poor planning by the people in charge of that trip. And we even had bottle service for like 10 people (3 bottles) at Vanity, and I paid my fair share for that as well. It is a piece of cake. Get your cash before you leave and stick to a plan. I planned for 300 so I brought 300 cash. Wound up splurging that extra 40 on the Wynn buffet because friends insisted it was a requirement. Granted, we stayed two nights and the first night was the only night I went to the club, but still.

$300 is nearly one bottle. So I guess the question here would be if the options were the two extremes: Skip bottle service all 3 nights and maybe even skip the clubs one night (just walk the strip or something) and stay at PH, or definitely get BS at least one night and go to a club every night and stay at Luxor... Which do you pick?

It also has to come down to who all is coming. If it winds up just being 4 of us from Salt Lake and 2 from LV, there is little point in springing for a nice big room. But then we'll probably just keep our HRH rooms instead.

Put it this way, fun can be had anywhere and doing anything in Vegas. You don't have to go clubbing every single night you are there. This is what I would, I would get the room at the PH, go to the clubs only 2nights, 1 night I would check out the free shows at the TI, the fountains, go to Freemont street. There is plenty to do there at night.

I gotta give you props for being on a budget....last time I tried doing that (budget was $1k) I nearly quadrupuled it and that was for 2nt 3day trip.....LOL....but it was Vegas and I had a blast.

But after that, I am getting comped rooms at most Harrah's properties.

Further research shows that Paul still is the resident DJ on Saturday nights. Anyone know what the GA cover is those nights? We would all love to go see him at a Vegas club. I think that will probably wind up being the night we spring for a table/bottle service.

Currently with the 4 "100% for sure" crowd here is the plan:
Luxor for rooms, though I may change my mind and bite the bullet and go for PH Tower.

Thursday: Hot and Juicy for dinner, check in to hotel, drink a little, go out and wander the strip and hang out. This may be the night I send the 3-4 girls to Thunder Down Under if I decide to still do that...

Friday: Mystery on what to do during the day probably gamble, Tao for dinner, back to our room to get ready, and then back to Tao just as GA to hang out for the night.

Saturday: Again, who knows what during the day. House of Blues for Dinner, may be the night I take her on a helicopter tour if I decide to go for that, limo to Rain with Table/BS for the last night to go out with a bang.

Sunday: A miserable drive home where everyone but me sleeps and we are all hung over, but I am a very proud boyfriend and have a very happy girlfriend. Haha.

Does anyone know if they still do the wristbands? Those are jc approved and allow pretty liberal movement between all four palms clubs in the VIP line. Someone will chime in here soon. I want to say they had an open bar option(?) and they were $40.
That being said, if you're asking if it can be done, you're probably not at the level where you could pull it off.

You want to be at the club where girls want to be... not where guys get good bottle deals.

Las Vegas was good. Hell of a ship, hell of a crew.

If you are going to TAO for dinner, make sure to get stamped when you are leaving so can return and not pay cover, just walk through the re-entry line. Rain I believe they got this deal for $120 it is all you can drink from 11pm-2am, but not quite sure. Otherwise it is $50 for guys (Vegas standard). Bottle service is prolly the average price around $450 or so.

Also, Steve Aoki is resident DJ at Surrender at the Encore. I dunno how long he will be there for, but that is also something you guys may want to check out on Friday, instead of going TAO, since you guys will be like sardines packed inside tiny tin can.

I remember reading somewhere about that. I know that Playboy and (I believe) Moon are basically attached so you can go between those two from what I have read.

Does the 120 include entrance? If so, I'm sold on Rain for Saturday. I'll have to check on the entrance thing, but if we can do all our drinking there, that's not too bad.

Tao I will make sure to get stamped before we walk out the door, just like a parking validation. And I'll make sure anyone who showers doesn't wash off the stamp. Do you know if there is a minimum amount you have to spend at the restaurant.

This website says Rain is $30 cover. Is it wrong? Is it $50 for guys and free for girls usually?

Haha, I take it Tao is packed? I'll have to check on Surrender. Being packed but getting in for free would be fine though, as long as it isn't as packed as XS usually is, we're okay with that.

Also, found out Thursday either Nathan Scott or Tony Arzadon will be playing at Vanity so we will probably be going there.
