How many people are going with you? OK, Im assuming you are going for 3nights. Total is roughly $1200 for 3nts, and if you divide that by 8 (highest number of people going) that comes out be around $140pp which equals a little under $50 a night per person. I don't you a deal like that can be beat considering that is SUITE. But it's up to you, and you do what you think is RIGHT and most affordable, I'm just giving you my 2cents.

Costco.com or do you go through Vegas.com and use a costco card? Is it fully refundable? And is it as good/better than the deal I posted above from smartervegas?Originally posted by AK2Vegas View PostI don't think Tha AOD rents cars, period. Personally I'm 'wheels up to wheels up' so ill be dammned if I'm driving, lol.
Two bedrooms, three baths, new property, six foot HDTV...
Another trick I've been pushing (but not to much avail) is using costcos Vegas.com deal. You can book ph towers and save 20% off the top.
Believe, isn't that jersey shore meets David blaine? Lol
I'm going to have to look more in to the PH Towers for sure.
And if Believe is such a joke. What show/s would you recommend? We've both wanted to see a Cirque Du Soleil show since we started going to Vegas but never fit it in. Believe just looked like one of the coolest ones combined with not being too outrageously pricey.
No casino is fine, we can walk to gamble (and will probably need to drive anyway, since we aren't ballers). No smoking even better.Originally posted by Vadiksf415 View PostYou can book the PH Towers here: http://www.phtowers.com/. However, this is a condo hotel, meaning NO casino....casino is on the otherside of Miracle Mile inside the PH Hotel. For Thurs, the spot to be is TAO, but once again BS there is a must, since it gets so crowded. Another option is going to Tryst. At Vanity I believe the DJ is Eric D-Lux, I believe he spins every Friday or Sat and he is pretty good. It's really up to you if want to the BS or not, BS will save you time from waiting in line, paying cover (usually $50 for guys and $30 for Girls on Fri and Sat) and it will guarantee you a place to chill out if it gets crowded and Im sure the girls would love to sit down after being on heels for a while. I see where you are coming from about being a college student and all, so I understand its tough. But if I were you I would try to do BS 1night, at least to me that's a must. Also, like Warren posted previously you don't need a car in Vegas...just a waste of money. During the day you want to walk around and check out all the spots and at night take a cab/limo to where you are going.
If TAO is the spot to be on Thursday but BS is a must, where is the... 4th spot to be? Or which club/night would you guys recommend being THE bottle service night for our group (assuming we can only pick one)
Vanity often has Tony Arzadon and if he is there, we will almost definitely be there.
BS 1 night will be a sure thing, no doubts there. All 3 nights.. that's another story. Which clubs charge 30 for girls? I've never been to one EVER that charges more than 20 for girls, and that's including this Saturday when XS was charging 100 for guys. Most of them have never charged for girls or they have been $10.
$50 for guys and $30 for girls is still cheaper than $100 each plus tip, by quite a bit. Especially considering the girls are Vegas Vets and make sure to always wear shoes they can stand for 5+ hours in. We've made plenty of those mistakes in the past.
As for the car. I'm curious, where are you all from? I'm from Salt Lake City. It's immensely cheaper for us to rent a car and drive down than it is to fly, and then we have a car to use while we are down there for when we need to go off strip.
Reactivated my Twitter just for this. I love how all the hotels have such nice cancellation policiesOriginally posted by Vadiksf415 View PostAlso, if you want dirt cheap rooms look for Twitter Tuesday specials for HRH, for iinstance yesterdays deal was for $25/nt including weekends for Oct-Nov.
Make this so much less stressful. You'd think they'd be better with wheeling-and-dealing though, especially when you call reservations.

I'll need to check that as well.Originally posted by Vadiksf415 View PostAlso, since those are condo's too, you can sometimes find deals site like craigslist under vacation rentals, where the owner is renting it out.
Thanks a ton again everyone. Sorry for playing devil's advocate on everything. Just want to make sure I have a clear cut plan and things are perfect

I personally never go to shows when I am there, my day usually consists of: waking up, having a couple drinks, eat, drink, gamble, drink, drink, drink, take power nap, get ready for night out. For bottle service I would either do Fri or Sat...but have done pretty much everyday of the week. If you don't want to do TAO, go to Tryst. Also Vanity is good on Thurs, if you are into House music. I'm from SF and its about an 8-10hr drive for me if I were to drive there, so I just fly. You can drive down if you want, but I'm saying while you are there, you won't need your car. There is nothing to do off-strip since there aren't going to be any pool parties going on. Also, im pretty sure all of you will be drinking during the day, and Vegas PD are a bunch of pricks. You don't want to risk driving there at all.
Also, since this is a 21st BDay.....I think you would need to check out the Spearmint Rhino.

Oh yeah, and two of the 8 are Vegas residents, I'm sure they will crash with us one or more of the nights, but I'm not going to charge them for time they don't.
Also, keep in mind, the cheaper the hotel (IE crapfest Luxor or Twitter HRH vs PH Towers) the more money we will have left for other things (BS, etc).

1st - We have been to Vegas easily 8+ times. We don't do the "wake up and drink" thing. We just don't party that hard here
We will definitely be going fairly off strip for a few eateries as well as perhaps visiting the friend who is local in Henderson. If we were just focusing on drinking and gambling then I would see your point. We focus mainly on (in this order): Having fun for cheap, sleeping in, eating lots of good food, going out/drinking, gambling. Seriously, in all of our times having been (all of us have been 21 except said girl) none of us have gambled except last time this past weekend.
2nd - We LOVE (let me clarify how much we love with all caps) House/Techno/Dance. The more of that and the less Top 40/Crap-Hop the better.
Our typical "perfect" Vegas day (assuming no one is super hung over and whatnot) goes like this: Eat, get ready, shop, walk the strip/hang out and maybe drink somewhere in here as well as eating lunch... depending, eat, go back to the hotel, get ready, drink a ton, go out fairly early and just wait in the line, go home around 3 or so depending on everyone, eat again, pass out. Repeat.
At any rate, even if we only use the car once in a while down there (this last time we used it a total of 3 times) it still will save about $100 or more per person to drive down.
Forgot to add that it is a girl who is having her 21st... I'm sure she wouldn't mind Spearmint, but I doubt it would be a hit on the "wonderful birthday" list.Last edited by Kayzar; 09-22-2010, 11:26 AM.

what days are you going again?
If it's going to be 6 of you I would suggest maybe getting a room at the ventian or palazzo. Every standard room comes with a pull out sofa. So if you get a double queen you can sleep 6 comfortably.
I would assume that it would cost less to have 1 room for 6 people at the venetian/palazzo instead of the cost of 2 rooms for 6 at luxor. Just a suggestions.
If I were you I would collect money or at least a deposit from the people that would be going with you so you could lock them in. For anyone that is waiting for a last minute reply I would let them fend for themselves. Take it from someone who plans Vegas trips all the time. I hate it when people say yes they are going to go and bail at the last minute. Totally messes up my estimated cost and you might end up booking too many or not enough rooms.
plus the more people you have the more the bottle minimum and I hate changing up plans with my vip host.
settings things up can be a headache.
In regards to clubs if you don't mind mingling with the crowd then general admission is always the cheapest way to go. with your even ratio of guys and girls you should be fine getting in. I would suggest going to the club of your choice during the day to possibly get some guest passes (usually free for ladies and discount for guys) that might help. I would also suggest going early to line up so that the guest passes are accepted and so that you don't have to hassle with the line.
I personally like bottle service and can totally justify the cost. It's vacation try to get your friend to spend a little more. I don't like have a restriction on funds when I'm on vacation.
Also it's a 21st birthday. Your going to want to make some great memories. splurge a little.
If your friend is persistent on being cheap. Set up bottle service for the fellas (minus the cheap friend) and have your bottle service host put all the ladies and your one cheap friend on the guestlist and have them meet you inside. If you get their early enough you'll probably all go inside at the same time.
otherwise good luck and have fun.

Also, I dunno if you guys are big drinkers or not, but a drink on average costs around $13, $15 with tip. Say if everyone is having say 8 drinks, the total is going out to be around $960 for all 8 people. Bottle service will run you about $1200-$1300 (2bottles), however you are not: paying cover, waiting in line, and you have a place to relax. Just wanted to give you breakdown of the pricing I have experience in the past.
BTW when in November are you going?....I'm going there myself 1st week of Nov, maybe we can all meet up on 1night.

Since you like House/Techno then go to Rain on Sat at the Palms. That is all they play, I'm not sure if they stopped or not, but ATB and Paul Oakenfold were the resident DJ's for that night, every Saturday.Originally posted by Kayzar View PostI guess that brings up other things for me to clarify:Originally posted by Vadiksf415 View PostI personally never go to shows when I am there, my day usually consists of: waking up, having a couple drinks, eat, drink, gamble, drink, drink, drink, take power nap, get ready for night out. You can do that, or grease the host to skip the line. Use Royale's 20/10 rule. 20 for guys and 10 for girls...plus w/e the cover is on top. That way you don't have to get there super early or wait in line for a long time.Originally posted by sleekmr3 View PostIn regards to clubs if you don't mind mingling with the crowd then general admission is always the cheapest way to go. with your even ratio of guys and girls you should be fine getting in. We are going 11th thru the 14th of November. 2 days after she turns 21. She is my girlfriend so I plan on splurging a little, but there's only so much I can afford to splurge without putting myself in the "You are why we are in recession" bracket.Originally posted by sleekmr3 View Postwhat days are you going again?

With cancellation policies at the hotels I have myself spread out already as is, and don't mind spreading out more and canceling them all before people go crazy. I'm going to give everyone until 3 weeks before to decide for sure and then I will collect money.
Sleeping 6 in one room would be great, if we weren't going for a birthday trip which will involve enormous amounts of birthday sex. Hence why we have 3 rooms at Luxor booked now anyway.
I plan on getting to the clubs no later than 10 every night unless the host tells me otherwise and I plan on talking to a host about each night regardless of bottle service or not. I would like to do bottle service each night, but it just might not be financially possible.
We are big drinkers, but we are fiscally responsible drinkers. We stop in Moapa and buy super discounted tax free alcohol (Grey Goose big bottle for usually around 50... it's typically nearly 70 here in Salt Lake) and drink our hearts out before we leave. And then one or two drinks each to tide us over while we are there.Originally posted by Vadiksf415 View PostAlso, I dunno if you guys are big drinkers or not, but a drink on average costs around $13, $15 with tip. 1200-1300 on bottle service for more than a single night is definitely not going to work, not even sure if one night will work. So hopefully either enough people come to make it cheaper. Or few enough come to make it so we only need 1 bottle. Unless we skip one night of going to the club and just walk the strip with tower drinks, but it'll be pretty cold outside.

[quote=Vadiksf415;95722][quote=Kayzar;95714]Excellent, I will look in to that. Can you speak with the host beforehand about doing that? We did that at XS the time before last but it took the friend who managed to speak with the host about 30 minutes of pushing and being super aggressive to talk to him and convince them. I'm more than happy to make an agreement with the host to pay 20/10 to skip the line plus cover, but only if it doesn't involve as much effort of standing in line from someone in our party.Originally posted by Vadiksf415 View PostYou can do that, or grease the host to skip the line. This is a great idea.
PH Towers are a good deal for the sq ft you are renting.
Kitchen is nice as well. There is no reason you can't cook your own breakfast.
Eggs are cheap at a local grocery store. Make omelettes. You can feed everyone in your group for like 30 bucks.
That is a lot cheaper than having everyone pay for their own breakfast.
Since you have a rental car it shouldn't be too hard to bring back your own grub.
If you haven't seen "O" or "Ka", those are great shows. Blue Man Group was cool.
Comedy clubs are a nice way to kick off the weekend. Ask around twon and see who is headlining.
Get their name and Youtube them to see if they are worth checking out.
BTW, are you an AAA member?
If you are, you will get around $100 dollars a night off at the PH Towers.
You have 8 people. Someone must be an AAA member.

I forgot to mention.
You may want to consider not seeing "Believe"
206 reviews 1 1/2 stars out of 5. That would save you some money.

I thought KA was good.

I saw Mystere also but didn't like it but it got good reviews.
I hear O at bellagio is awesome.
