It is stupid, but it's how the industry sold it to America. I'm torn between happy that music that is similar to what I really like is finally on US radio, and sad because it's very commercial.

I feel the same way. I'm proud of these DJs coming up and getting the recognition they deserve. But I'd be totally ok with never hearing another damn Calvin Harris track again in my life.

Anyway, continuing with Vegas....

Sunday night
Our original plans were to go to XS nightswim. I am not a fan of nighttime pool parties. We spend all day at the pools in bikinis. I want to get beautiful for nighttime. Cute dresses. Murderous skyscraper stilettos. Sexy make up and hair. Pretty jewelry. So I was reluctant to go. I went last year with my girls and we left quite quickly for the Bank.

Same shit this year.

It was honestly mehhhhh… I just don’t like Nightswim. The music was ok, but the vibe is odd. Half the people are dressed nicely, half in swim gear. I hate how XS is empty inside. It just makes me feel sad for some reason.

We ended up leaving within an hour. I texted my friend and the boys were at Eclipse. We hopped into an Escalade and made our way there. I should mention that we stopped at Aria and changed into swim suits and sexy little cover ups.

So Eclipse. Damn, what an experience. Guys if you haven’t gone, you should definitely go. In my opinion, the Eclipse night swim is so much better than XS night swim. I don’t know what it is about the place, but the vibe was just crazy. People dancing their asses off, worshipping the DJ. Bottles popping, fists pumping. Under the open sky. Sigh…I am in love. It was so, so, sooooo fun. We really threw down, as we should have considering it was our last night in Vegas. So freaking sad.

The boys had a cabana booked. I can’t remember what their minimum was but I remember being surprised that it was so low.

We saw the 5-6s again. My friends said that they had mentioned to them that they were hitting Eclipse that night but never specifically invited them to join. I smiled and waved at the girls but they didn’t seem too happy to see me. Didn’t even wave back. Bitches. Needless to say, they didn’t come over. Hahaha, I win. Nah nah nah nah nahhhhhh. Childish I know, but who doesn’t love to win?

At around 1:30 am, I got a text from Random Awkward Very Rich Jew.

RAVRJ: Hey Little Miss Catholic. Where are you?

Me: Eclipse (oh gosh, here we go)

RAVRJ: Alright. See you soon.

Me: Oh it’s ok. We’re with our other guy friends at their table.

RAVRJ: None of that Catholic guilt Missy. I’m coming to party.

Me: … (fuck)

The girls were displeased at the thought of having to deal with him again. However, it turned out to be pretty fun times with RAVRJ.

He shows up after 2am and proceeds to regale the boys with this afternoon’s soap opera. Mad props were given to us ladies for being stellar wingmen. RAVRJ bought us a couple bottles of champagne for the table as another token of appreciation. You’re welcome dude. We saved your life! Apparently the ladies he left with had taken quite a liking to him. RAVRJ left a little while later with a woman who wasn’t one of the ones he met at EBC. He was like a new frickin man! I honestly felt a sense of pride! My baby all grown up!

Highlights of the night:

1. Alana and Alyssa getting into a dance battle with two midgets in the pool… little people… not sure what the politically correct term is. And the girls got killed by them. Those little people sure got moves. We have an awesome pic of the girls with midgets on their shoulders. It was pretty hilarious.

2. Amanda and trying to make out with Anna so she could save her from her prudiness and truthfully sing Katy Perry’s I kissed a girl track. All night long she kept asking us to taste her cherry chapstick.

3. Finding a prosthetic arm with a hook on the end on the edge of the pool. Sorry to guy who’s missing his hook. I gave it to our security before leaving. I hope you got it back. Sorry to the girl whose weave I accidentally hooked and removed from her head when I was dancing crazy. Sorry to all the guys that tried to talk to me and were scared off when I tried to shake their hands with my hook and screamed, “Argh matey”.

4. The gay guy that tried to give one of the boys CPR when he slipped in the pool and choked on water. The hook really came in handy when we went to save our friend.

5. Making a three-person totem pole with one of the guys, me and Alyssa. So dangerous. So stupid. Yet so fun. This guy was squatting the two of us and dancing with us on his shoulders. Security really wasn’t pleased but it made for some really good pictures.

We ended up leaving at around 3:30. I stayed the night in my friend’s room and left at around 10am to pack and get ready for our 1pm flight. Kiss on the cheek for my friend and I was out.

Final thoughts

We stayed in a 2 bedroom sky suite at Aria. It was very nice and was the perfect size for the five of us. Loved the fact that we had private elevators, a private concierge and to and from transportation. I believe the cost of the suite was about $700 for Thursday and Sunday and $1000 for Friday and Saturday. Not bad considering we split it five ways.

I’ve stayed in Aria before in one of the regular rooms and I love the look and feel of the rooms. However, that ipad remote control thing… I never got the hang of using it. And I’m not usually a person that sucks at using tech devices.

I’m not sure if I will stay at Aria again. I found it to be so far set back from the strip. I prefer the Cosmo.

Being drunk for me is a necessity or at least just a bit tipsy in Vegas. I felt so irritable and annoyed when I was sober. Everything was nauseating and made my skin crawl. Vegas sober, I just can’t. It might be a problem.

Making friends with random people is honestly one of my favorite things about Vegas. I’m meeting up with two of the cool Toronto chicks when they come to NYC for Halloween. I’ve had lunch with RAVRJ a few times when he’s been in the city. I suspect he may secretly be gay because he seems to have a thing for my hubby lol. Or it may be a serious over-the-top man crush.

Asking politely for things really gets you places. I almost feel like we don’t need to do guestlist in the future. I get anxiety from the thought of having to be at the pool party or club by a certain time.

Shout out to all the young people in Vegas. Goddamn, you can go hard. I’m really beginning to feel my age haha. I actually have to eat and sleep now in Vegas. My youth is clearly running out.

I’ve come to the conclusion that when I do Vegas, it should be for a longer period of time. Usually we do Thurs-Mon. But I think if I did a week, I’d actually be able to see more of this city. I really want to see Britney bitch. I want to eat at fancy restaurants. Maybe do a little shopping. But it seems that all of the most recent trips have been about eat, sleep, rave, repeat. Literally. Nap. Pool party. Nap. Night club. Nap. Pool party… Ah first world problems, how blessed we truly are.

Amanda came home with a cold because she made out with so many strangers. And she secretly plays for the all girls team or is at the very least a switch hitter. She doesn’t realize it yet, but the rest of us girls came to this conclusion. We’re all just glad that her BF dumped her, though she claims she dumped him. The guy was a total deadbeat anchor.

Anna confessed on our flight home that she’s envious of mine hubby’s understanding. She doesn’t get how we can still be so good together considering the crazy shit I do. I have no idea what hubby gets up to when he’s out here and same way, he doesn’t know what I do. Don’t ask, don’t tell. I told her everyone is different and we just do what works for us. Onetime use hall pass that renews annually, only to be used in Vegas.

Please keep your own TRs coming. I need something to tide me over during my withdrawals. I live vicariously through you. Thanks for the love. Maybe one day we’ll party together in the city of Sin. I’m always down for a good Vegas trip.

FYI I’m actually typing this from the airport. I am sitting waiting for my flight to our favorite city, hyping myself up for this trip. This time I’m going with my hubby. If you think our girls trips are wild, you should see the shit the two of us get into together. Maybe I’ll write about it.
