I didn't do much after i got done with Ditch Friday (as far as i can remember anyway), gambled a bit nothing crazy. The two strippers (or stripper and host) told me they would be at a strip club that night and they would put me on the list if i wanted to stop by. Eh who am i to turn down a strip club on my last night in Vegas. I figured at the very least it would be interesting. I'm going to go out on a limb and state that the club itself is not one the general constituency of the Forums has been to ( or even heard of, lord KNOWS i hadn't). The spot was called OG's which from the name alone gives you an EXACT idea of what kind of spot it is. Lol. This wasn't sapphire or the rhino. From the name alone i knew that my Ratchet Friday was only going to be ratcheted up even more (pun intended).

Now i am not necessarily a strip club afficinado, i have spent my fare share of time in them in multiple cities/countries typically at the behest of others (bachelors, clients, teammates etc.), so typically have fairly good handle on each city that i'm in strip club scene and culture. For some areas strip club culture is literally just a fact of life and each scene is different. For example NYC strip clubs tend to be a bit more upscale and in my opinion subdued, less about the dancing and more about lap dances blah blah blah. ANYWHERE down south is probably your best bet to find a multitude of strip clubs for a multitude of tastes (black, white, asian etc.) going to s strip club in the south is something of non starter your gonna find expert pole operators (in more ways then one if you catch my drift) and more than any other place i've been the social aspect is on display. It's like going to a lunge with a bunch of your boys only with a bunch of ass and titties around. As for Vegas... up until this trip i would have equated the NYC and Vegas scenes as very similar (quality girls, some good dancers some terrible, ALL about the private dances and fake friendliness). I had only been to the major strip clubs (and mind you had a great time , barring a few fights), but i feel like i discovered a whole new strip club culture...for better or worse! lol.

OG's is a...well interesting place. Firstly. It's both MALE and FEMALE dancers on separated on different floors. Take my advice don't make the mistake of going upstairs if your uncomfortable with men in G Strings. Its decent size and there were a stunning amount of women customers inside and waiting online. I was actually surprised at the crowd in that it was fairly mixed and diverse but make no mistake these people had shown up for a more...'unrefined' experience than one might get at the HORSE or Sapphire. As for the dancers i would say they had more in common with the type you would find in Atlanta or Houston (curvier more ethnicities, and super athletic with their tricks on the pole). Music wise of course it was much more well for lack of a better word HOOD (and i mean that as a the biggest compliment after a steady diet if NOTHING but EDM after 10 days), a lot of hip hop and an actual DJ. If your ever in a group that demands more 'ASSets' this is your place. Security was adequate and nothing popped off which is more than i can say for a few other of the supposedly more reputable strip clubs i have been to in Vegas

Anyways. I text the "stripper" and find out where she is and she comes out from back stage to come chill and have a few drinks until its her time on stage.I grab a few lap dances (most of them free, i don't know guess she liked me) and i come to the conclusion that i wouldn't kick her out of bed if given the opportunity. Oh, funny thing i had her in my phone as "DITCH STRIPPER" so even though i am sure she has told me her name several times at the pool party i have her grinding on me and LITERALLY have no idea who she is (ahhh Vegas man, where you can spend a whole day with someone, have it build up to sex and have ZERO idea what there given name is). I also had to find find my new non dancing friend but turns out she actually WAS just a server so i guess Kudos to her. After a minute its time for the stripper to go to work and i sit back and watch the show. Now... i don't know if i have it in me to DATE a stripper (not on any moral grounds, just more of a clash if lifestyle type thing, but after watching her dance well... (i can see how rappers and ball players somehow stupidly end up doing exactly that). In any event i snap out of that shit, and enjoy my time in the club. There are a pretty good amount of women/bachelorette parties enjoying the female dancers as well and i make some new friends that way as well. In between dance my stripper pal comes and joins us and the non dancer gives us a few rounds and the night begins to blur a bit. I suppose at some point the stripper fixes her name in my phone after i drunkingly mention i have no idea what her name is. Lol.

The night overall was pretty fun, the club itself was more if a turn up (if you know what that means) than a lot of the better known strip clubs and i would go back again for a night. Sadly my stripper friend had to continue to work and i was exhausted ( i didn't think it was possible but after 10 days i yearned for a night at home on the couch man). Head back to Palms Place and pass out for the night.

Its my last day in Vegas an i'm not even mad! Lol. Unfortunately,my flight has been delayed so even though i'm packed and ready to go i have nothing to do until the evening time. I check out and the "Dancer" from previous posts hits me up and says she'll drive me too the airport/ take me to lunch and i can hang out at her place until its time for me to bounce. I have some trepidation about this to say the least. She has been a bit clingy for someone i have literally just met (and making rumblings about trying to be my girlfriend even though we live in different coasts, have different lifestyles and barely KNOW anything about each other smh). BUT. I am a man so of course rather than just sucking it up and saying nah i'll hang at the pool until its time to go i say sure. SMFH.

We head to some Italian place not too far off the strip and its actually REALLY good, the atmosphere is very old school and the food is all served family style. Kool i'm thinking things won't be so bad and we'll just chill. Nope. During the lunch i somehow have to explain that she and i are NOT in a relationship (after she says she is falling for me. How? we have spent exactly 24 hours together all added up!) and that given the distance alone we would probably never would be. Somehow (i am NOT that guy, being mean to women or really people in general without cause is not something that comes naturally to me), i am 'breaking up' with someone i barely even know. Ironically, also literally in the middle of me 'breaking up' with her the 'Stripper' from last night calls. Since she has changed her name from "Ditch Stripper" to her actual name i have ZERO idea who this is calling me...so i pick up! Now i'm in the truly surreal position of breaking up with one stripper while on the phone with another (FUCKING VEGAS). After explaining to the stripper on the phone that i leave that evening and trying to not make it obvious that i'm on the phone with another woman, lunch is...awkward. At this point i offer to just make my way back to the pool but she says nah me and her is okay and it was presumptuous of her to assume we would date (gee you think?) and i'm still welcome to chill at her house until my flight. Against ALL my instincts i agree. SIGH...

Firstly! Her house from the outside is nice enough, its in a pretty good little sub division the Vegas suburbs. Inside was a whole different story. Now i'm not judgmental but i definitely think how you keep your house says a TON about you (whether male or female) and lets just say it left some questions about things in my mind. Its not a cesspool or anything just real messy. Fuck it only a few hours left and i'm too tired to care i guess. I decide i'm gonna take a nap cause 10 days of Vegas has finally caught up to me. She's cool with that and joins me in the bed (stupid penis! you always win over rationality you dick head), etc happens in bed and i fall asleep. I am awoken by loud noises from two clearly young male voices and am completely bewildered by this. Turns out it was her two kids!!! SIGH. Okay whatever you have kids no sweat. HOWEVER! Don't let them come in the room while a stranger is in your bed (JESUS i feel like this is parenting 101 and i don't even HAVE kids). She seems stunned that i am uncomfortable that i have just met her kids half naked (just wow), and with that i realize that it TRULY time for me to go home. Vegas has broken me for better or worse and i call a car and cab it to the airport. NEVER. HAVE. I. HAD. A. BETTER. TRIP.

            • OG's will always have a place in my heart, my first Vegas Strip club! We still head out there when going as a couples trip. The women have fun upstairs, we do our thing downstairs, and all is good. It's not a bad place

              • This trip had everything
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

                • Epilogue:

This trip literally changed my life in a ton of unexpected ways. I met some people that i still keep in touch with to this very day. Myself and Dani are still quite friendly and see each other fairly regularly and speak often. While not in the same city D.C is not far from Brooklyn at all obviously. As mentioned, even a year later myself and Miss Iowa still see each other whenever i am on the west coast and she is on the east coast. Neither are relationships but i guess they are... something.

Perhaps more importantly, i have since changed jobs almost directly as a result of this trip and am now working for a sports agency/music management company here on the east coast (albeit mostly on the financial side but this year will be fully accredited and will hustle for clients). All of this came about after one night at 1Oak and a workout at UNLV where i was able to use some connections i had to steer some potential NBA draft picks toward some agents i know.

Due to the fact that Vegas actually has quite a few training centers for athletes in its immediate vicinity, in the year following the beginning of this TR i have spent an inordinate amount of time in Vegas (typically at minimum a week every month since the end of college football season and start of the NFL Draft, the start of the NCAA tournament, and will spend most of June and July there with the upcoming NBA Draft and Vegas summer league). Therefore for all intent and purposes i have found myself in the peculiar position of finding myself experiencing Vegas as a semi local and THAT has been VERY interesting.

Of course being in Vegas so frequently i now needed a regular apartment...so i bought a one bedroom at Palms Place (with the help of my new boss anyway, compared to NYC prices literally the mortgage is a joke i have payed that much in rent for my first apartment out of college). I will say this, all of us on the forums seem to have a pretty healthy appreciation for the wonders of Vegas. I think what makes it special is that its a place you go spread out over the course of a year or years what have you to escape and party your face off. I always asked locals it must be CRAZY to live here full time, and never understood when they would say nah it gets boring real quick. While i don't live there year round i DEFINITELY get what they are saying now!

In any event thanks for sticking with me throughout this long ass report. Hope whoever read it enjoyed it and got a feel for both the good and bad of Vegas (and also remember for the most part the majority of this trip was SOLO so don't ever be worried about having a good time by yourself). Even though clearly i have been back quite a few times since this report started none of my trips have approached this one in terms of sheer SHIT HAPPENED moments. I have high hopes for my first summer in Vegas (though terrified of JULY heat).

                  NEXT UP MDW 2015!!!!

                  • Great TR Marc. I think more than anything the joy of connecting and networking (unexpectedly) with people in the city is a joy unto itself. The party atmosphere and the gorgeous people just add to the fun. Look forward to more exciting stories.

And most definitely, on to MDW!

                        • Awesome TR all around Brooklyn Marc. Thanks for sharing it with us. I recently went to Vegas solo, and can honestly say it was one of my best trips. Being solo definitely puts you out of your comfort zone, and I've made some pretty cool friends. Good luck with your new endeavours!
