Day 1
Mel, Kat and me got into town on a 6 am fight from Seattle, landing at 8, on Thursday May 30th. We had gotten no sleep night before or on the flight so clearly we had to rally. Got to Flamingo and attempted to check in only to find out that even if we tried to pay extra, no early check in was available. Wah wah. Changed into our swim gear in the casino bathrooms, gave luggage to the bellhop and hit the slots while waiting for Boston. We had daybeds set-up at Tao Beach through Chris Traer and by the time Boston arrived and we got to the Venetian, we had a solid buzz. Cheers to Thirsty Thursday and to Chris for setting us up and coming by to say hi!

The beds were great, the sun was shining, and our server was cute and friendly.

PITCHERS! None of us really read the drink menu and we settled on vodka mojitos but should've done the red bull ones. Regardless.

A pitcher each and 2 hours later we were in the pool making friends. It was a bit slow at Tao Beach that morning but we were just happy to be on vacation. Kat got molested by a really drunk girl who came out of nowhere and disappeared just as soon as she showed up. It was amusing, to say the least!

Having started the trip off properly, we headed to the hotel around 4 or 5 and were finally able to check in, shower and order some food. Boston left us to continue her adventure in California and we were down to 3. A quick nap later and we headed off to Tao. Open bar got us off to a good start until we got pulled in to a table of as whole bunch of older men who were friendly but it was kind of painful being there. We couldn’t really drink after the open bar because all the alcohol from earlier was still circulating. We left the men and made our way to the overcrowded dance floor. No thank you. I don’t know if it was the crowdedness of the place or if we were hitting the wall but by midnight all of us were ready to go. On the way out of the Venetian we got talked into going to ACT, we figured, why not, and went. It was dead. And boring. We did meet a couple of British men who both proposed. We declined and almost joined their pub crawl party bus but upon finding out they were going to LAX, we decided against it and headed to Surrender. It was a safari something night swim, I think? While walking by a table I had some vodka poured down my throat, things got hazy after that.
Mel took a dip in the pool in her dress, her phone went for a swim and I ran into my coworker from work who was supposedly had been recovering from a surgery for the following week. I suppose Vegas is the best place to recover?

We called it a night around 4, planning on hitting up MDC in the morning.
Day 2 coming soon.
