Apparently I wasn't fully awake yet yesterday when I wrote these.

So Friday morning my ride-or-die Boston ended up in the ER with what they thought was alcohol poisoning but turned out to be severe dehydration and a heat stroke. She was out in no time and was feeling fine after an IV and some rest. The rest of us learned a valuable lesson: no matter how tasty AMFs are, water is a must. Pedialyte is a lifesaver as well. Until Walgreens was sold out by Saturday evening. Balls.

Mel's phone was sitting on a day bed at Surrender and one of us (or both) were dancing the night away when I saw the phone floating away in the pool. It must've slipped off or fallen off the bed. After Surrender we stopped by Walgreens and got a bag of rice. The phone was mostly functioning by the morning. Crisis averted!

Days 3, 4 and 5 coming soon. I need to do some work today... maybe

Good call on the AMF's.. every time ive had one, ive puked really bad and felt like shit afterwards.

Day 4 Sunday

Sunday started out at 9:30 am with Mel threatening to throw up and me refusing to get up. Kat made us get our shit together, made us some vodka redbulls, shots of vodka Pedialyte and granola bars. Within an hour we were ready to head out to Wet Republic for Calvin Harris. Head down to the cabs and the line is 2 miles long. WTF?! As we are walking towards the end of the line a guy asks us if we want to catch a limo with him, he had one picking him up within minutes to also head to Wet. We thought about it for a sec and agreed. Turned out he was in from the UK (anyone from the forums?) and won 10K the previous night right before peeing inside the Wynn into one of the flower pots and getting arrested for indecent exposure. He told us that Americans have no sense of humor and what the hell do they expect when they fed him liquor for hours while he won thousands in blackjack. I guess he had a point. Anyways, got to Wet, the line was already solid and we checked in for guestlist and walked right in, skipping the line and leaving our new British friend to try to get in touch with his friends.

We were originally gonna do a daybed this day but the minimums were just a bit too much for the 3 of us. We ended up getting a spot on the edge of the pool next to some girls from Cali and Canada. It was only 11:30 and there was still room to move around the pool and no line at the bar. Left our stuff in the lockers and hit up the bar for some AMFs. A few sips later and all of us were feeling just fiiiiine

We were in and out of the pool for a while, had more AMFs, ran into a nightclub promoter from Seattle who Kat and I used to throw raves with, had some tequila shots, more AMFs, danced on a daybed with some strippers (totally normal, right?), got back in the pool. At this point everything is a little hazy. Mel disappeared for a long time, we never found out where she went or what she did so that stays in Vegas. Kat was talking to the Cali girls from earlier, lathering them in tanning lotion. A guy had been flirting with me from a distance for a while and when I went into the pool, he was right there as soon as I got in. He introduced himself and his friends from LA, we chatted for a bit: they were going to XS that night and so were we. He was nice, let me borrow his hat, Calvin Harris came on and was awesome, I think. It’s all really hazy here. All of a sudden lifeguards are kicking everyone out of the pool. Turns out someone puked and they had to clean it before they would let people back in. LA guy and I went to get more drinks, I got another AMF that I probably didn’t need. As we’re walking down the stairs from the bar back to the pool he eats it. Hardcore. Didn’t spill his beer though. Pool was cleaned within 30 minutes. We ended up making out in the pool for a while until Kat decided to get me out of the pool and his friends were ready to leave. I think it was around 5? LA guy was adamant about either taking me to dinner or meeting up at XS so he took my number and put it in his friend’s phone.

Mel was found, Kat lost a flip flop again, I looked and felt like a million dollars (that’s a lie). We walked thru MGM, getting ice cream on the way. Stopped at the souvenir shop so Kat can get another pair of ugly bedazzled flip flops and I proceeded to buy two mugs with the MGM lions on them. Why, I’ll never know. Got back to the hotel, were settling in for a nap when my phone went off with a text from LA guy who becomes known as Vegas Boyfriend <-- nickname courtesy of Kat. He wants to go to dinner at Craftsteak at 8 and there was no way I was gonna make that. Settled on meeting up at XS.

At 9 we start getting ready for XS. Mel is staying in, she’s near death. Kat and I pound some vodka and redbull and head to the Wynn in a town car; the line for the cabs was even longer than earlier in the day. Afrojack was at XS for nightswim so we brought swimsuits in case we decided to get in the pool. We were on a guestlist and the line was ridiculous at 11. Get a text from Vegas Boyfriend saying that they just got to the Wynn and it’s only 3 of them and we should walk in with them and that’s what we did. I was pleasantly relieved that Vegas Boyfriend was cute and it wasn’t my AMF goggles earlier. Whew.

I don’t know who they set up the table with but he walked all of us in and the table was between the pool and the bar on the right as you walk out to the outside, I liked the location. Vegas Boyfriend put Kat in charge of scouting for girls for his 2 friends which she was more than happy to do. I had a few vodka crans and was ready to rage! Kat found some really hot and fun girls, I give her mad props! I got a text from the Palo Alto guys who had just gotten there and went to go meet up with them to say hi. Vegas Boyfriend got cranky but I left Kat as collateral and promised to return. Met up with Mike and his friends and got us shots. I forgot all about the shots until I looked at my credit card statement when I got home. Went back to Vegas Boyfriend’s table to find Kat surrounded by strippers from Wet Republic earlier that day. Man, I love strippers. I may or may not have motorboated a couple of them. And I love Vegas. Vegas Boyfriend and I found our way thru the crowd of the dance floor and watch Afrojack take some shots while hitting the play button of his iPod. I’m just being a hater. I like Afrojack on the radio but he’s boring live. Fast forward thru more debauchery, it’s about 3, Kat leaves with one of the strippers and after evaluating my life for a minute, Vegas Boyfriend and I take a cab to the MGM. I’m single, it’s Vegas and why not?

Get to the MGM and I decide that I’m in dire need of a vodka cran and Vegas Boyfriend bets $100 on black on the first roulette table we see. He wins, I down my vodka, haggle with the gift shop lady to get 2 big Gatorades for $5. It works and Vegas Boyfriend and I retire to his room. He had some solid scrapes and bruises from the fall at Wet and I had a good laugh.
After getting lost at MGM, missing a fake eyelash and smudged makeup, I make my way to the cabs, getting high-fives and judging looks, I got back to my room around 8, having only slept for an hour, to find Kat with the stripper, completely naked in my bed! Mel is in the other bed drinking a Starbucks and trying to whisper thru laughter, telling me about what happened and asking me where I’d been. By the way I looked she quickly put it together. As far as what happened with Kat, Mel slept thru everything, which is probably for the best.
