Hello All, Let me start by saying that me and my wife are not into the Mega Clubs...Yet. We got a taste of bottle service for the first time this trip with some lounges and the bug bit us. We plan on moving up to a club night at Hyde next trip with a tier 2 club thrown in and then who knows? Anyhoo...Here it goes.

Thursday- Arrive in Vegas early...way early at 10AM. We drove as we live close by in the San Diego area. We were staying at Palms Place. We originally booked a 1bd studio suite, but called ahead and got upgraded with a full 1bd suite with early check-in fee waived and told it should be available around 11AM. Walked up to the desk and didn't sandwich the girl at the front desk(Guy on phone who set us up would not be there until Friday and I planned on tipping him when I saw him). probably a big mistake. she said there were no full 1bd suites available and she would call when one was ready. meanwhile, groups of dudes all around me are getting right into rooms( it was me and my wife). Anyway, we take a walk around the Casino to see if anything has changed since last time at the palms and then head to Simmon for some lunch. We return to the desk at Noonish and still no room. Girl gives some excuse about being fully booked last night and then says it will be another hour. we get frustrated and ask if we could get a 1bd studio suite like we originally booked so we can get our stuff situated and I could finish some last minute work on my computer before the fun begins. She obliges and soon our stuff is in the room, my work is done, and we head down to the Rojo lobby bar for the first " I'm in Vegas" drink. A few cocktails later we head up to the room to get ready for a night at Hyde. Thursday is a non club night at Hyde. There is no table minimum, but a reservation is required to get a table. I had set it up with Anthony. Actually spoke to him on the phone and he was very pleasant and helpful. We were seated at a table on the patio right against the glass. We ordered a Ton of food off the Tapas menu and quite a few cocktails..no BS tonight. Staff at Hyde is awesome and so is the food. If you go on a regular lounge night I recommend Thursday. It was very busy and the music was good. We called it quits at about 1AM to get some rest for the pool.

Friday- Wake up fairly early to get down to the pool for Ditch Friday. Palms guests get in starting at 9AM with no entry fee, just a free wrist ban for re-entry. With just me and my wife and getting in early we decided not to get a day bed and got some lounge chairs in a really good spot with a good view of most of the pool and good foot traffic so we could people watch...plus they were only about 6 feet from the water so we could go back and fourth easily. Gave our cocktail server a 20 with the first round and asked her if she could come by at least every 20 minutes or so. She said no problem, and did just that. We spent the rest of the day until about 4PM just lounging, wading in the pool, eating food, and getting a good buzz going. Crowd was average for a Ditch day, but it was fun and the music was good. We head back up to the room to rest for awhile before going to Gold for 80s night. we order room service and shower and pass out for about an hour or so before getting dressed and heading out. I had contacted Joey Orr for a referral to a Gold Host after someone on JC said he would have one. He replied right away with Jack Ross's number and then forworded my number to him and he sent me a text before I could text him. WOW! that's service. We show up at Gold at 10Pm and there is a good size line for a lounge. I introduce my self to the gentleman at the rope and say that I have a table with Jack and Jack is standing behind him, I didn't know it was him. He introduces himself, I give him the proper Handshake and he seats us at a table on the edge of the dance floor right under the DJ booth. It was a great spot with a view of the whole place. I was Stoked. We order a bottle of Goose and me and my Wife, who are not very big drinkers, pretty much Killed the bottle between the 2 of us. By the end of the night I was dancing my ass of and I'm not a big dancer. It made my wife's night. The crowd slowly poured in and by 1130 or 1200 it was packed and stayed that way until we left at 4am. Dj played Great 80s music. The staff at Gold is fantastic. Cocktail server was very attentive as was the runner( gave him 20 at the beginning of the night and another 20 at the end. He was on it the whole night. and he was always smiling and in a good mood.) Security guy was kick ass!. The first time my wife had to use the restroom I called him over, gave him a 20 and asked if he could help my wife get to the restroom. He snapped her up right away and took here to the front of the line. she told me when she got back that she could her people in line talking smack under there breath and she almost felt weird, but got over it as the night went on. The security guy saw me standing in a small line for the restroom( I didn't care about waiting a little) and he even came over and took me to the front. I took him agian at the end of the night with another tip..he was great. I took care of the restroom attendant as well. he was working hard because it was so busy. Now it is 4AM and me and my wife are happy, BUZZED, and ready to call it a night. We sign the bill and head out. Jack didn't see us leaving and ran outside to say good by to us and offer his help with anything we need in Vegas. He's a really cool guy and I recommend him.

    To be continued...

Saturday- Mostly hanging out by the Palms pool again, this time a little Hung and trying to recover from a half bottle of Vodka each that we drank. O.K. this is the one funny/weird thing that happened. On the way back from the pool my wife starts chatting with some other women our age in the elevator. They are looking for the Palms Place spa and we help them find it. We think nothing of it until later when we run to them at N9NE steak house later that night. They come in with there Husbands and the one that was mostly talking to my wife sees her and comes over to our table. She starts telling my wife how she loves her style and gets a good vibe from her. They chat some more and the woman says that they have a penthouse in one of the palm towers and we should come party with them, then says they have a private host with some tables set up later and invites us out with them. so far we think cool...let's party and have fun as we had no official plans for Saturday night. Both them and us are finishing our meals around the same time and they send over expresso shots to our table. We salute them and drink with cheers. As we stand up to leave my wife hands her her number and tells her to text us when they get to where they are going. Then the woman stands up and starts rubbing my shoulder while she's talking to my wife about how me and her husband have bald heads and how intimate it is for her to shave his head in the shower and then starts to get more friendly if you get my vibe. Me and my wife get spooked, thinking they are swingers and blow them off later when they text us. Maybe a mistake, maybe they were just very friendly people wanting to party with some new friends.. We end up cruising over to the Bellaggio for a while and then back to the Palms bars for the rest of the night. Back to N9NE for a second...service is superb as is the food. We had a 16oz bone in Filet that was unbelievable.

Sunday- We have reservations for Brunch at Simmon's at 1100am and decide to sleep in that morning. If you've never been to the Brunch there on Sunday is great. After brunch we head out to the pool for a few hours and just chill with the smaller crowd and have some cocktails. We head back to the room and rest for a while before Dinner and the Foundation Room. We had dinner at the Red Square in the Mandalay since we had a Table for BS later at Foundation. The Red square is Russian food. I'd never had it before and my wife said it was great so we went. It was awesome. I had never had steak tartare before, I loved it..good stuff. We didn't really partake in thier huge Vodka selection since we were decently buzzed already and were heading to foundation. We head over to the elevator to Foundation and there is no line at all...not a good sign, but is was a Sunday. I intorduce my self to the doorman and tell him I have a BS reservation with Chad Elder. He is also very responsive when texting and sent me a text earlier that night to see when I was coming so he coud make sure to have a table ready. He met us up top at the elevator, I gave a Handshake and he seated us at a table on the balcony with the best view of the strip..very nice. the service was OK..the runner was on top of it and had a great attitude, but they seemed to be under staffed elsewhere. I didn't see security all night, probably due to the fact is was a smaller than usual crowd. A good amount of people were trickling through early on but the crowd thinned quickly. I didn't like the fact that the Patio is closed off from the inside and you can't see the action like you can at Hyde. I thought about asking to move inside, but it was DEAD...empty almost. We just hung outside until about 1AM when I decided to post on JC and ask for a spot that would be good on a Sunday night and maybe have a deal on a table since it was almost 2AM. Some emidiately said Lavo was good, so I asked if anyone had a host for Lavo and wouln't you know it?...Anthony From Hyde came through at 2AM with a contact for David Lee at Lavo. I sent Him a text saying that Anthony sent me and he responded right away with a very fair quote for a 1 bottle min. Unfortunately my wife was starting to feel the effects of the weekend so far and I couldn't get her to commit to going to Lavo. Bummed, but it was probably best as I had to drive home the next morning. I sent David a text saying that my wife was down and out for the count and I would keep his number for next trip and thanked him. He responded "anytime". we left Foundation just before 2AM and Chad was already gone. We went over to the Cosmo since we head never been there and just checked out the different bars and had some cocktails before heading back to Palms Place.

So...there it is. No real crazyness that some report, but a great time nevertheless. We will be working our way up to the bigger Clubs/crowds and minimums that come with them, Starting with a Club night at Hyde next time. Thank you to all the Hosts that Helped us out this trip(see Host appreiciation Thread). NOW..it's time to plan for the next trip, I need one more at least before the end of summer

I would say the age range was 25 to 35 with some older and some younger going in and Out. If you contact Jack maybe ask him what night has the age range your looking for, maybe a younger average age on thurs or Sat.

Hi Jhaulotte, There are two tables that split the space under the dj booth. I don't know the numbers, but if you go through Jack Ross or any Host just ask for a table under the dj booth and you should be set. Im looking for a floor plan for Gold to add to Chucks BS thread. Have fun, let me know how it goes.
