    Hi there,
I'm hoping for some suggestions on dining out in Vegas. I'm surprising my boyfriend for his birthday, he knows we are going to Vegas but I'm having a bunch of his friends meet us there. Does anyone have suggestions for a bunch of 24-25 year olds for dinner?

    My thoughts are:
~Somewhere that isn't too heavy. We have 5 ladies in the group and plan on going clubbing all night afterwards.

~Somewhere that isn't too quiet, its a birthday, we won't be quiet and I don't want to disturb other guests dining or trying to have a romantic dinner. (I don't want to be the loud group written about on yelp for destroying someone else's dinner.)

~My budget is flexible. It is a birthday after all.

~I am planning on surprising him with his friends at dinner. He won't know they are joining us in Vegas until this moment. Thats also a crucial tidbit of information.. I'm still debating on surprising him in the limo on the way to dinner or at the restaurant itself.

Our trip is in November and I know Vegas changes rapidly but I'm hoping for suggestions..
I still haven't planned nightclub options either..

STK & Stack both come to mind.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Limo all the way - he might see his friends from the other side of the restaurant and will also suspect something is up if you say to the host "oh we already have a table with people on it" etc.

Getting in to a limo is always awesome but if you see your best friends as you climb in that's going to be an incredible moment!

Paying for everyone. Budget is flexible, I've seen a lot of steakhouse options.. I'm ok with a steakhouse or if there's any other suggestions..

Off the top of my head on the Strip and depending what type of food you want I would suggest: Lavo (at Palazzo - Italian), Tao (Venetian - Asian), Lakeside Grill (at Wynn - Seafood/Steak), STK (at Cosmo - Steak) and Fix (at Bellagio -Generic). All these places are good with noise (as in you won't be disturbing anyone's romantic dinner), they can get loud in general when busy. They also have a good energy/vibe inside when they are full.

Oh yeah, I would do the Limo surprise too. That would be really cool.

              ballin.

I would do STK at Cosmo. Its lively in there like a party atmosphere with fine dining. LOL. The food is good too. Depends on what people end up ordering....(with alcohol). Maybe $50-75 per person. The other restaurants listed above will also be in the $50-100 PP too.

If you don't want to break the bank. Holsteins in the Cosmo is a idea, my buddy calls it a "food club".

There are a handful of nice restaurants (at least there use to be) on restaurant.com.

I took myself and 3 others out for a birthday dinner at Mix, 4 dinners, a couple of apps, and drinks for all came to like $200 because of the restaurant.com gift cert... the view there is great and the lounge after made for a good way to start the night.

So I think the Cosmo is going to be it. STK sounded great, I'll make a reservation there. But I really think Holsteins is where the birthday boy would choose if he knew about this surprise. Beer, burgers. Can't go wrong.

However... I've got to talk to the ladies in the group to see which one they prefer. Since we are a 5 ladies to 3 guys ratio, its going to be ladies choice..(which I think might be STK)

STK is more of an upscale sit-down "Event" dinner.

Holsteins is more of a semi-casual open format type meal....

Holsteins is still nice, but if you're looking at a big event dinner then do STK and don't look back, trust me. No Contest.

So super fun change of plans last minute. Two of the girls going have now informed me of being vegetarians....and one vegan...

                          -_-

So it looks like STK might be out. Anyone have suggestions? I've got a little over a week to plan now..

The limo is booked for his surprise! I love presidential limo. I used them my last trip to Vegas and I wasn't disappointed. This time I explained the birthday surprise in the limo and they helped me plan timing, amazing service!

Tell the girls to deal with it. It isn't their birthday

The vegan one is gonna put a damper in everything. I would call STK and see if there are vegan options
