Hey guys, I need a good recommendation for somewhere to eat before a show at the Venetian or Palazzo. I'm thinking steakhouse like CUT or Delmonico but am open to all suggestions. Anyone had any unique experiences?
Of the restaurants in the Venetian/Palazzo those are one of three I haven't been to. Looking at the menues, I would say CUT is more steak focused while Delmonico has a bit more variety. I liked Carnevino a lot but it is really expensive, not sure if that enters into your equation. For lighter food, I really like Postrio in the fake San Marco's square and Table 10 was pretty good the one time I went. In my opinion though, the best restaurant on premises is Bouchon but I've been a huge Thomas Keller fan since being pretty much a regular at Per Se when I lived in New York.
I did Valentino (the fine dining room) and it was off the charts amazing. There's only about 10 tables in that room, the service is unbelievable, and the food will blow you away. It ain't cheap, but it was worth every penny.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.
I've been to CUT (both in Las Vegas and Beverly Hills) and I've enjoyed it everytime. Kobe steak shashimi and bone marrow flan are musts. I've only been to Delmonico once and nothing really stood out for me.

I also recommend Valentino, everything Chuck mentioned is 100% spot on. Look on restaurant.com for a discounted gift certificate!
Valentino or CUT....but bear in mind, all the above recommendations are fine dining establishments, and I tend to spend at least a couple hours in a restaurant, enjoying my dining experiences. If this is pre-show, make sure you give yourself pleny of time, or find a more casual alternative, so you're not so rushed...

Good bit of advice...We were in Valentino for at least 1-1/2 hours

I'm not even staying there, but I think I'll go give those a try, solely 'cos of your recommendation.
No one else recommended any dishes, just restaurants. I've personally never dined at either Venetian or Palazzo.
