For LA it depends on the venue- some are like that trying to create an image- but remember its midweek
Checked out the Angels website, seats are cheap as chips... like 18 bucks... but they are near the outfield...

having never been to a ball game before, any suggestions on seating ? no need for a private box, or being directly behind the batter... but something maybe where your head does not have to be cranked sideways for hours... ??

    Cheers

Also, you have to have a car in LA. It's not like Vegas where you can get by without one, everywhere you go will take forever and could be a long drive.

Also, the only theme park I would hit would be Six Flags (and that is about a 30+ min drive North of LA). Disneyland is for kids and families and Knotts Berry Farm is pretty weak compared to Six Flags.

Cheers mate, yeah six flags is the way forward... 17 roller coasters just cant be beaten....

do you think it might be cheaper to just hire a car for the day, instead of paying for taxi's and the like ??

Maybe I missed this in the opening post but why not just get some extra roll out beds for the room? Most hotels I think max out at 2 per room and roughly $30 or so per bed. My apologies if I missed an obvious issue with this.

Hey Jinx, what'd you end up doing for the hotel?

Hi Liroquai, mate we ended up staying with our original bookings (3no 1bed apartment rooms in twin configuration), will try sandwich and see what happens....

I have seen the thread on here regarding the cosmo and sandwich upgrades, seems to be a mixed bag... so see what happens..

Penthouse ended up being approx 8k USD for the 4 days... and still only 5 individual beds... for that cash... you want your own bed to be honest... especially as this is not a 1 night deal...

Hi Tim, mate for the amount of money that cosmo wanted for the penthouse and bungalow, not having your own bed to sleep in, other than maybe a roll out or couch for 4 nights, especially with our iteneiry, its just not an option.... but thank you for the suggestion mate...

I'm not even sure taxi's would go up to six flags. There may be some sort of shuttle service though. I'm not sure as I am a local in orange county. My thoughts would be that you may want/need to rent a car, depending on how long you are staying.
If you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it! That being said, it's Vegas and doesn't hurt to try!

                Planning
                2014 - March 13-16 - Bachelor Party
                2014 - June 5th - 9th (maybe) - Big 30.

If you're not needing the bling of the Cosmo, the Jockey Club is by far the best bet.

The only place I stay now when in Vegas -

                  * Direct elevator access to Cosmo
                  * 2 minutes from room to the strip
                  * Quieter than most resorts for hangover sake
                  * Cheaper
                  * Amazing view of Bellagio fountains (if you're on that side)
                  * Full kitchen / living area for pre-gaming

I like to call it the "Cosmopolitan Historic Wing"
