  • NYE 2014 trip $$$ I know but where should I Stay?

Been to Vegas many times but never on NYE. My wife wants to see Britney at PH, SO I got us tickets and now I got to plan rest of trip. So far I found out:

    1. Airfare is $1000 advance purchase for direct flight on SWA from Texas. (For 2)
    2. Hotels on south strip are $500 -$1000 for just NYE and have 2 day min, about half that for 30th -
    3. No clubs have announced NYE 2014 packages yet.

    So my questions are?
    1. Anybody know of a South Strip Hotel that has a better deal?
    2. I want a club with a view of fireworks, which one's are best and what should I expect to pay, non bottle service?

I have a $2k budget, not including gambling food etc. how can I stretch my hard earned $$$?

oh BTW my dates are 12-29-13 to 1-1-14. Thanks.

If you're on a budget, consider staying offstrip somewhere like Southpoint and then taking a taxi and hitting the strip early. I had some friends who did that and had a great time.

Have you looked at SWA vacation packages? I have used that 3 times to get the best deal to come to Vegas.

Thanks for replies. I think I'm going to book SWA but use the add hotel feature, I found better deal there than southwest vacations.com weird but worth a comparison. Now I've got to choose between Excalibur, Tropicana! Or Quad (AKA imperial palace). Any suggestions?

I'm about location and with those options Quad would be my pick. I have done Harrahs, PH, Paris, Bally's on that side and many moons ago IP. Walked through there in July while there, nice basic casino, a lot cleaner, can't say about the hotel itself.

Looking at the SWA website you are going to I would book directly with the hotel. I went here:

          https://www.totalrewards.com/hotel-r...asvegas.com%2f

You can save a couple of bucks and I did not use my total rewards card, just did www.harrahslasvegas.com

May also help you get better deals later through all of their hotels. You may want to sign up for Total Rewards and MLife to see if they give you a good first time member offer via email.

          Hope this helps

Ok NYE 2014 Las Vegas is booked! I got a great deal on Airfare through Expedia, via United $634.20 TTL (RT x2 From SATx) arriving one night earlier, 12-28-13 at 11:30 pm and leave 1-1-14 at 5pm. Except for first nite , I'll be staying at my favorite stomping grounds Monte Carlo, and since I Saved on Airfare, I upgraded to high floor strip view for $700 12-29-13/1-1-14, including early checkin and 3pm checkout. I think I'll stay at Quad or LVH first nite, for $50 or so. I'm under budget and got $$ for NYE tickets. Thanks for all suggestions! Now to find a NYE party or just have one of my own!

Good to hear. Hope you have a blast.

May want to snoop around as from what I have read streets get packed and hotels restrict entry unless you are staying there by a certain time.

Here's a good post from Vegas Chatter on the rates for NYE -http://www.vegaschatter.com/story/20...t+It+Will+Cost
wow that's a long link :-) I'm still hopping for a better deal,( I'm optimistic like that) but I'm glad I have something locked down. And I'm ready for NYE ! Let's see those fireworks!

Newbie, may want to post your request over on the nightclub link if you haven't already.

Tables will be crazy expensive and all packed to the walls. I would recommend checking out the clubs' page to see if they have announced the line ups for NYE since it is a prime night there and decide where you want to go to get locked in.

                        Enjoy the NYE experience.

I found this code on Tripadvizor, it's for NYNY and it's 20% and it included New Years.

Code - NYTRPADV Which may change since most promos don't include NYE

its not much, but helps, I go with it but my deal at Monte is still better.

Me and a friend are headed to Vegas for NYE as well, havent booked anything yet though cause i am waiting on the final number of people in my group. I wouldnt mind a table share, but prices are going to be sky high, unfortunetly. Whats your budget looking like?

We haven't booked anywhere either but read that the cosmopolitan has a good club and MGM had Calvin Harris on. We haven't got a budget as of yet. But wanting to really have an epic NyE one to remember with it being our first time in Vegas. Have you got a budget?
