  • PLEASE HELP!

Hey guys, I have decided to come to Las Vegas my first time from the UK. I have decided to come on Memorial Day weekend, from the 25th may - 29th may.

I am really struggling with what hotel to pick!! It is just me and one of my friend. The cheapest hotel so far is the Hard rock hotel it is £467 for the 4 days and I hear the rehab pool party and the vanity club inside the hotel is amazing! But Is it too far from the strip? I plan on mainly partying this trip!!

My second choice is the MGM grand it has wet republic pool parties and also a club inside it too, but it is £615 for the same 4days so is the difference worth it?

And my third choice was the Monte Carlo it is about £500 and on the strip but has no club or pool party attached to it!!

I would really like your advice on what hotel me and my friend should pick!

    Thanks for your help

Between those 3, I'd go with the Monte Carlo. MGM is right across the street, Aria and Cosmo right next door. If you stay at the Hard Rock you'll spend lots of cab fare just to get to the strip, and negate any cost savings you initially had. Also, Rehab isn't what it used to be, and I think Vanity is closed. In my opinion, a hotel room in Vegas is a glorified locker for your stuff, a shower, and maybe a place to sleep (sometimes)! Have fun this trip!

I have stayed at the HRH over mem day weekend a few years back, and it was great. Pool complex is massive, packed, and has gaming options outside too. The pink taco resturant is attached to the rehab pool as well, and is some of the best you will find. Dropout has the best happy hour too with half price full portions.. Between your options, I would choose the HRH. The monte carlo is a tough place to sleep and recover as the rooms suck and the shades dont block out the vegas sun.

I've done 2 of my last 4 trips staying at HRH because I was comped and with it being MDW I would stay somewhere on the strip.

Rehab will be a good party but you are land locked and have to cab or Uber it out which takes away the savings as Funkycold stated.

I've stayed at Monte Carlo and it does the job IMHO. MGM is very solid plus you have the tram but for 115 more....nah. Mandalay Bay to me is to far out also where getting to the strip will need cabs or Uber.

Thanks for all the advice guys! One last question is MGM close enough to the strip or will I always need to take the tram?

MGM is ON the strip! But, the place is so huge your room elevator feels like a mile away! The place is right on the corner with NYNY, Excaliber, and Tropicana. Mandalay is connected to Luxor, and has its own free tram between it Luxor and Excaliber. BUT, it's pretty far south from the "pulse" of the strip, if it makes sense. Amongst your choices I say go with Monte Carlo, for reasons I said above

Have you looked into Planet Hollywood? I've always found that to be a solid choice if your looking in that price range. Better location on the strip and it tends to draw a good, fun crowd that likes to party.

I LOvE Planet Hollywood! But if it's priced too high your other options are fine. Don't put too much thought into the room, you won't stay in it much

Curious why you picked Memorial day? Its easily one of the most expensive weekends of the year to go to Vegas! I would never in a million years pay that much for any of the hotels you mentioned. That's almost double what you would pay any other weekend....
(not being snarky, i am legit interested in your reasoning!)
