LOL yeah I've spent many a drunken summer day at Wet Republic, total insanity and a full-speed party no doubt, but have also spent plenty of time at the backlot lazy river. Had great times at both! I may have spotted a few families here and there (why anyone would bring their kids to that pool is beyond me), but I certainly didn't find it family oriented! In my experience, people are absolutely trashed and by 4pm it turns into a pretty fun atmosphere. Had many an afternoon end in success

Depends what you want from a pool but personally the lazy river is my kind of scene. Girls floating past all day - suits me fine!
Executed the sandwich twice at MGM last year - its just a matter of targeting the right stuff member! And you need to be SMOOTH!

          Taken from another sandwich thread:

Seriously though, if you want a detailed explanation, the guys at Roll Like Boss wrote a great piece on the whole process a couple weeks ago. Take a look: http://www.rolllikeboss.com/2013/03/...-sandwich.html

Depends on your style / mood / energy levels kman.

My boys and I can do just as much damage in the lazy river than we can at WR! Head on down and speak to Sam the barman at the lazy river. He will sort you out - top bloke!

And in terms of the sandwich - you obviously weren't smooth enough

The guys at Roll Like Boss did a great article on the Vegas Sandwich recently...

Yep, good article. Excellent summary of the whole process, especially for all you rookies out there Posted this a while ago on a different sandwich thread - Here's the link:

Yes...I must admit obviously I didn't have my "smooth" turned all the way up...

EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

Looking forward to Hakkasan opening! I'm a longtime MGM fan but it always amazed me how they persisted with the Studio 54/Tabu combo for so many years. It's one of the largest resorts in the world and anyone with a pulse could have told you they should have put a new club in there five years ago. You want to keep guests on your property, but I guess they were too busy pouring money into Aria. Either way - About time!

Also, anyone in Vegas around that time should let me know!
I'll be there from the 3rd thru the 8th.
MGM will be great, especially since they've remodeled. Wet Republic will be krazy, moreso that Saturday the 6th, don't be afraid to plan your days and nights around the hot clubs outside of the hotel from the postings on this forum...just don't limit yourself or you'll miss the point.

More importantly are you prepared for the dry heat lol!
Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm interested to know what your favourite room type is at the MGM kman? What room do you suggest for 3 people?
Ocam don't know why I just saw this man...my bad...I unsuccessfully tried the sandwich at the Airport checkin so I was stuck with the standard 2 Queen beds upon checkin. But I haven't seen the renovation...i'm sure they're just as good if not better...the room was nothin to write home about but no complaints either...nothing like our terrace room at the Cosmo tho.
