First off, if there's already a thread about this, sorry for a re-post! Somebody please point me that way, I haven't found much myself...
I've reserved 2 rooms each with 2 queens at Mandalay Bay in June. Our group is 8 people, so we need 4 beds. However, I bought these rooms through hotels.com, and some of the fine print read "rooms requests not guaranteed." I know it's supposed to be busy when I'm there, and I've read that guests who book through an outside booking agency get last priority. Normally I book through the website but the deal I got was way too good (it wasn't a name your own price thing though). I've tried calling Mandalay Bay to get them to match the price I got but they wouldn't budge. Anybody had experience with a situation like this? I'm wondering how likely it is that I'll get two rooms with two queens? Is there any way I can guarantee two queens? Am I fussing over nothing? I plan on sandwiching, so is this something that could be fixed at the front desk with a nice tip? Thanks for any info.
