Three girls at the Palazzo in a Bella Strip View suite. Is it worth trying the sandwich upgrade? We need the two queen beds, and it appears that anything "better" only has a king. Unless we try for the "Prestige" Bella Suite, which offers access to their Prestige Lounge.... thoughts?

Great idea, thanks! Do you know if the "Prestige" suites are in a different location? Last time at the Venetian, we were upgraded to their Venetia Tower, but man, was it a hike to get to! NOT fun when stumbling in drunk and in platform heels. LOLOriginally posted by peterJ View PostUnless you are willing to sandwich $100, I'd probably save your money in this situation. You need two beds, but like you said, few rooms actually have two beds at Palazzo unless you jump multiple levels. Maybe you could hold a 50 in your palm and ask if a Prestige comp is possible.

I've always said I would try the sandwich but I always back out. LOL. I have asked for upgrades everytime I check in Vegas. Which is about 10+ times per year. I would say without having to sandwich, I've been successful to a certain point. I've had upgrade from studio to 1br at PH Towers(Elara) and hollywoodhip to Resort Rooms at PH. Or at least strip view or high floor at many other hotels. Only one that I havent been successful is at Monte Carlo, but I believe theyre pretty strict there anyway.
As far as a better suite upgrade, thats a real gamble. It all really depends on when you're checking in and how busy the time is. I would think that even $100 sandwich still doesnt guarantee something that much better. So thats a risk you're taking. You can slip that but end up not getting what you think is worth the sandwich you gave.***Feb 2012 - Aria - Marquee *** March 2012 - Encore - Marquee, Surrender

Totally excellent point. That's exactly what happened at the Venetian. Did the sandwich and got comped a Bella suite in the Venetia Tower. Hated it because of the walk from the lobby, so it wasn't worth it to us. I think maybe this time around, we'll be happy with the regular 'ol Bella suite with a strip view. We good a pretty good deal on it to begin with, as we reserved and prepaid it with their advanced booking offer.Originally posted by WT661 View PostI've always said I would try the sandwich but I always back out. I went in Feb, book w/ a friend. Was offered a $75/night upgrade to the suites with a balcony. I forget what they're called, but they give direct access to the 3rd floor amenities. I declined paying the upgrade, so they gave it to us anyways at no extra charge duringe MLK weekend... So, I figure a $20 sandwiched or a smile, flirt, and this is my first time may get you the same thing.I still remain "the best kept secret"

I don't think the regular bella suites and the prestige suites are any different besides you gaining access to the 3rd floor amenities and open bar right cm4short?Originally posted by Mvagirl View PostOh, nice. I never went in looked to see if there was an open bar. I passed it several times but it didn't interest me enough to go. Plus, it closed fairly early. It appeared to be some kind of cafe/coffee shop and a workout room or spa. All I saw were older people the few times it was open.I still remain "the best kept secret"

I have a Priceline winning bid($160/night), I need two queens, do I call and pay the standard upgrade price for two queens($30/night)? Or roll the dice with a sandwich at the front desk hoping to get a Bella strip view? Well be checking in around noon on a Friday... Also in a Bella, does the couch pull out?June 12-15 2014 Aria

I have the exact same question about the Venetian for a trip in a couple of weeks. I won a bid at 175 a night when the bella suite price was higher around 260 and now its down to 229. Wondering if I should pay the difference now or roll the dice with a 20 sandwich. Don't care about the view or anything.Originally posted by pantlessbellman View PostI have a Priceline winning bid($160/night), I need two queens, do I call and pay the standard upgrade price for two queens($30/night)? The Bella Suite couch does come with a pull out.
Edit - we have 5 people so it's imperative we get the Bella suite haha2016 (past) - none
2016 (upcoming) - June 10th - 13th. Venetian. Invasion schedule
