Jury is still out for me on if they charged a deposit or full amount. I still don't see any charges on my credit card yet. I think I was only charged the deposit of one night stay. I had to call them today to ask a question and I was questioning taxes and she mentioned something about one night stay. So I don't think you pay in full. You just don't get credited a lower one night stay after making the claim.

If the $20 trick works to upgrade to a studio terrace 2 queens then i'll be sitting pretty. Might just be pushing my luck - Happy birthday to me!
How did go down to 526? Seems like you got more than 25%

They give you 25% off the lower rate that you find.

I think 5/17-5/21 comes out to $5 hundred something.

Tripres.com has it for $773 so 25% off would drop it to 579.75

Dnix - The lowest rate I found for my stay was $627.00

Marriott quoted me $935.00 but they have to take off the 25% from the $627.00.

It ended up being $470.00 then add in taxes = $526.XX

Feel free to remove this post if you think it's in violation, but I can legitimately help you out big time on the cost of Cosmopolitan rooms.

A friend of mine runs a nightlife company in LA/Vegas/NYC called All-In Nightlife and he has a great group sales discount at the Cosmopolitan that he can apply to reservations as little as one room for one night.

Shoot him (Paolo Nucem) a text at 818-524-9857, or email him at [email protected] and shoot him your dates and number of rooms. His discounts are applied on everything from City Rooms up to Wraparound Terrace Suites. Let him know Brett Stevens referred you.

March 18-22, 2009 - MGM Grand Bungalow Suite
April 22-26, 2010 - MGM Grand Bungalow Suite
                        June 2-6, 2011 - Venetian Bella Suite
June 21-26, 2012 - Cosmopolitan Wraparound Terrace Suite

Yeah, very good rates at other places but the rates at the Cosmopolitan simply can't be beat.

I got 5 nights in June (21st through 26th) - for 1 Wraparound Terrace + 3 City View Rooms - for $3,850 total including taxes. That's insane. Booking through the Cosmo web site was nearly 6 grand for all that.

                              Thanks for answering my question

So I book with marriot first , then find cheaper price and then filed the claim form? Is this correct?
