    Hey everyone,

There's a few bottle menu's for marquee on the internet & somebody I spoke to thought that ciroc / goose was starting at $625 in MArquee these days..

Does anybody know for sure how much they are, last two years I was in Marquee bottles were typically cheaper than elsewhere?

Anyone who pays $100 premium for Goose over Stoli is a tool.

Um, I would gladly pay that amount on top. Much cleaner, better tasting, smoother vodka with much better hangover.

Small cost to pay for all those benefits - especially if you miss doing a Dayclub on the next day because you've been drinking worse quality liquor

If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

Things I would rather buy with that $100:
An hour long limo ride to get to the club with a bottle of sparkling wine
A room upgrade to a Tower Suite from a Resort Suite at Encore
          3 whole Secret Pizzas
A 34 oz Cowboy Rib Steak at STK to share with someone
2 1.75L bottles of Grey Goose for the hotel room
Actually instead how about 3 1.75L bottles of Ketel One, again we are trying not to be tools here.

If you are purely going for attention then $100 in $1s to throw into the crowd.

Pretty much any reputable reviewer of vodka ranks Stolichnaya right around Grey Goose in terms of quality, sometimes Grey Goose is higher and sometimes Stoli is higher. This would be a different discussion if they were giving people budget vodka like Pinnacle, UV, or Seagrams. I'd be right there with you, that $100 would totally be worth it.

Stoli won't give you a hangover that Grey Goose wouldn't. If you believe that then the marketing teams have done their job well, but that doesn't make it true.

I disagree. To each their own.

I'm just trying to do a PSA for those who aren't already convinced the only vodka worth drinking is Grey Goose. I try to put my money where it actually brings myself and my friends more happiness, and the label on our vodka bottle definitely isn't it.

Probably had couple hundred bottles of vodka out in last 10 years, grey goose or IMO belvedere is worth every penny. Especially especially when going hard in Vegas. I don't have a headache hangover ever from half to 3/4 a bottle GG ever. Refuse to have anything else. Third choice is double cross potato vodka

Well that highly scientific study with sample size of 1 person settles this issue for sure. Let's all make sure to spend $100 to upgrade to Grey Goose so we can drink half a bottle and none of us will have hangovers.

The other option would be to read the current literature that shows hangovers to be a complex phenomena caused by a variety of overlapping issues such as changes in the immune, glucose, and endocrine systems and the dehydration, metabolic acidosis, cardiac changes, sleep deprivation and malnutrition that come with a night out of drinking, along with the congener content of the alcohol itself.

Many of these factors are directly influenced by genetics, age, and the amount consumed, along with the pace of consumption. There are even studies that state expectations of a hangover actively affect the state of the hangover, so your "Grey goose = no hangover" could be placebo related if it isn't actually the result of a positivity effect.

The best supporting evidence for Grey Goose having less of a hangover is that clear, non-low-end spirits have fewer congeners. The problem I have with this argument is that from everything I've read, as long as you aren't drinking from the bottom shelf the congener content between a single type of alcohol like vodka doesn't vary widely, so Grey Goose and Stolichnaya most likely have extremely similar congener levels. I'm a bourbon drinker, which according to the congener theory means I should be reeling on the floor throughout most of my 7+ day trips to Vegas, but through eating, hydrating, proper sunscreen use, and a modicum of moderation I seem to do fine.

You really don't like it when someone doesn't agree with you hey? Haha

I really don't like non-scientific, marketing-based beliefs. People like Surrender as a club and I think the too small, too crowded dance floor really makes it an unattractive option, but I'll never argue with anyone over it since people have different priorities when it comes to a club. It's an opinion issue and therefore there are multiple right answers.

Only drinking Grey Goose at a $100 premium because the myth that it won't cause a hangover that any other medium to high end brand of vodka would isn't an opinion it's misinformation. If people were arguing that the taste of Grey Goose is far superior to Stoli then I probably would have just let it be since that's an opinion, but the hangover argument has no basis in science or reason.
