thanks for the help guys. got some planning to do.

btw i think the purpose of the chip in the wristband is to detect the wristband being cut or tampered with.

i'd guess its for cashless like they did at Orlando this year.

btw you can book a meal at the top of the VIP area that has food service.... great view up there and you can order drinks, etc.

Thanks Noah, we did buy VIP tickets so that might work then .

Read that you can get bottle service at EDC?

Does this work the same as in the clubs?
                What's the pricing usually like?

That does look like a good deal, definitely going to look into that if they offer it again this year.

Slight duplicate from the JC EDC thread . . .
Question for the EDC vets - We are considering GA tickets - how is VIP, worth it?

We did Ultra GA in March 2013 (SHM Farewell) and did TomorrowWorld GA & VIP in November 2013. We weren't overly impressed with the VIP set-up at TomorrowWorld so that is why we are potentially backing down on VIP for EDC. Any thoughts?

At TW the VIP stage was wayyy in the back and the best viewing platform was pretty much all tables. It was nice to have a little corral that we could retreat to but because of the size of the hill/venue there wasn't a crazy crowd all the way back to the VIP area. To us, the real VIP was on top of the sound booth and those were $10K tickets.

We like to get in close but not sardine packed (with the exception of the SHM farewell) and tend to walk around the various stages and grounds based on artists. I like having a viewing platform but unless it is packed all around it, it doesn't seem worth it to be all the way in the back. From what I have seen from EDC pictures it looks like the VIP area is quite a ways back as well.

from going to edc vegas the past three years- having done ga and vip
guessing from the 133,000 a night crowd
130,000 are probably ga tickets $400 for three nights
2,000 are probably vip tickets $750 for three nights- gives you access to two elevated decks- one is at the back of main stage stage, the other was on the side of the second biggest stage
1,000 are probably at vip tables which are setup on the side of main stage last year I was quoted $2000 lowest min a night for 4 people +28% so figure $7500 for four people for three nights.

Also keep in mind you have to get transportation out there. Either a shuttle pass $100 a person for three days or drive or helicopter.

Also worth mentioning the pool parties/ nightclubs around edc are great here is last years lineups

the VIP tickets you buy have their own area on the left side... the bottle service section is on the right side.

you don't get access to the right side with the $700 VIP tix - only with table service.

sounds like you are asking if you should buy GA or VIP? depends on your tolerance for big crowds

My friends that are EDC vets told me the VIP is worth it for the restrooms alone lol. Given most of them are girls so it's a little different for them.

Yeah - that was/is a clutch reason to go VIP. From some picture searches, it appears that the VIP decks and location for EDC are more similar to Ultra than TomorrowWorld. If that's the case then the VIP is probably a better value.

Do the VIP decks fill up and then you have to queue?
