  • Edc - 2015

So i havent been back to Vegas in almost 2 years.... I've missed it!!

We are looking at doing EDC, Tickets come out 1st of December as just announced for the Dates of June 19th - 21st.

What time does EDC start each Day and are there any advice on places to stay and things to do during or is it a matter of rest up for a massive night each day?

    edc basics-

    1. About 133,000 (3) day tickets are sold. 133,000x 3 nights = 400,000
    2. runs from dusk to dawn
    3. also each person needs a official shuttle pass, some plan to get out there and back or you can spend big money on a helicopter.
    4. you can also get tables at edc they are sold per night. Past few years through Marquee. *tables come with tickets for that night*

    vegas during edc basics-
    1. get hotel as soon as possible (some are already crazy high priced)
    2. you can do pool parties friday, saturday, sunday, monday or rest up
    3. can't do nightclubs friday, saturday, sunday night because they conflict but can hit clubs thursday and monday
    4. you can also go to vegas edc weekend just for the nightclubs/ pools
here is 2014 night/pool lineups to get you an idea

I just booked using my TR players number for 6/18-6/22, Harrah's for $374. For me the room is just for crashing but it is center strip which works for me.

Booked Luxor 2 months ago guessing the dates and I got it right afterall. However, thinking about rebooking to the Venetian. Its more money but ill be taking my 18 year old nephews to EDC and want them to have tons of eye candy to look at while at the main hotel pools. Never seen the Luxor pool but im sure Venitians tops it easily.

How are table prices for the clubs over EDC weekend? I don't especially want to go to EDC so might just choose the weekend either side of EDC weekend.

Exactly. I think the regular hotel pool at Venetian would have more talent for their wandering eyes than Luxor. I really love MGMs pools but Ive been there twice in the last year and want to try somewhere different.

I think they will enjoy the Venetian more than Luxor; but I can imagine they will be pretty choked to not be able to dayclub/nightclub at all. That's the best part!

Anyone want to throw their opinion out there for me on this weekend?!?! I've never been to EDC and even if we go that weekend odds are I wont go to the event but you never know. Is it still a great weekend to be in Vegas giving the cost of everything, vibe, talent etc... We are planning sometime in June, just not sure what weekend to aim for. We def like the day/nightclub scene FYI.

All the nighclubs and pool parties are nuts that weekend. That's all I did last year and had a blast. I did however notice the clubs were a little slow on sunday night (at least the ones I went to), so next year I might do edc on sunday just to check it out since I've never been to it.

Thanks guys that helps! So, in that case, if you could only go one weekend this coming summer would you go EDC weekend or MDW?

Personally EDC as you have access to more dj's and different types of vibes. MDC has been great the 3 times we went but to have that many line ups available for EDC is what puts that over the top for me if asked to choose 1 of the 2.

Just remember MDW is kind of like the start of summer kickoff- with pool/ nightclub events

EDC is a 133,000 person experience with tickets being around $400 for three day pass+ shuttle pass $100= $500 with a bunch of parties around the event.

If you plan on coming EDC weekend, I highly recommend going to the event at least one night. Its definitely an experience all in itself. You won't regret it. You can take a shuttle or drive yourself over. From the strip it's about 30-45 min depending on traffic. Try leaving earlier so you don't get stuck in it, it's a mess. The line-ups at the clubs are just as epic as in the event itself. Some clubs do after-hours for after the carnival so people can keep raving but I'd recommend taking a small nap so you don't miss out on the crazy pool parties. Other than the event, the pool parties are definitely my favorite part. The vibe is amazing all around this weekend. CANNOT WAIT.

Zury, would you happen to know if EDC will be doing the "Halfway to EDC" party @ Marquee Dayclub Dome during President's Day weekend again this year?
