Question regarding bottle service at Tao

Hello, this will be my first time getting bottle service at Tao. When I contacted the host our budget is 1500 (8 guys) all in i was quoted a standard table. Even when i mentioned a handshake the location was still the same. But if we arrive early we could get to a better location. Has anyone ever had any luck arriving early to get a better location? When asked about the table that we would get based on our amount, the reply i got was " standard location ". I even provided the image with numbers and did not get a straight answer. This is for Friday the 13th of June. Is a 1500 dollar table like in the very back room?

Quick question first...

1. How many people are in your group, guy/girl ratio also please

$1500 all-in is basically an $1100 minimum. Unless you have a huge group of guys that should get you a main room table at Tao on Friday night. Are you working with a host or did you just contact the venue directly? A good host should be willing to discuss location with you.

Dont know what a standard table is but $1500 min should at least get you a 70's table. Are we talking about $1500 min or all in?

There is a total 8 guys and I was quoted by a host that was recommend by this forum. He said we set you up with a standard location, I used the floorplan picture from your archives Chuck, and the host still did not give me a table location. The response I got was we booked you a standard table, but If you show up early we can see what we can do. Showing up early is not an issue, and I talked about the handshake and I still got the same responses. I told him that I can up the budget to have all in at 1700 and got the same responses.

get a new host or a new club. Someone toys around with my like that, I'm looking to spend my cash somewhere else. Tao isn't the hotness anymore so this host shouldn't act like he's to good for the room. unless it's not a direct host.

Ya I don't understand the shifty answers. Honestly unless you REALLY love Tao there are better venues. I'm not a fan of the layout at Tao. It's setup as such that unless you have a moat or df table you're out of sight of the dj booth and thus feel on the outside. For the spend I'd go for 1OAK, Tryst, or Haze. Make sure you mention that you're a forum member. Believe it or not, it makes a difference.

The boys are right. This host is not for you. Go somewhere else. You can get a great table at Tryst Fri night for that price. Hit up Bobby Yeadon.

Your whole story and budget scream Opium room, or Tao Beach level. I wouldnt bank on Main Room. Personally, Id go to Tryst with 8 guys on that budget. 2 bottles at Tao wont be enough.

I would replace the word "shady" with the word "standard". From my point of view, I see a lot of post on this forum that seem to contradict what's really going on here in Vegas. The tides are changing. PURE, MOON, and LAVO to a lesser extent... all once VERY popular clubs in there hayday are now GONE! Competition here is fierce. The days of just, "talk to a host" are coming to an end... Not saying it's obsolete but if you want to get special considerations for your party it's best to look around. Check the forums, check Craigslist, check Facebook..... If you want the "standard" deal, continue on with a a host without considering ANY alternatives. If you wish to be in the know, spend a reasonable amount of time scouring social media for regular, active, locals, who regularly participate in Vegas nightlife, and you may be presently surprised by what kind of deals you can find.
