have been searching the interwebs to see if there is a place where you can find people to split and found bottlesplit.com they have the concept but it appears like there are only a handful of active members
Important point. Don't be the guy that gets shafted. Figure out the total bill (including tax, gratuity, handshake, etc. - don't get surprised with the back-end details), and quote a number. Stick to that number.

+1 on that. Been there. Its also really had to do the math when you are inside and have a big group. There is always that one guy that doesn't have it.

So in this case, lets say i get in contact with a host and get a 5k table all in, LET, handshake, possible tips all included. Then I just find some people, lets say 5 splits, and come together and bring 1k each? At that point, in order to not have to pay anything extra out of pocket when the bill comes, I would have to let the host know "5k AND THATS IT?" Is that doable?

Depending on the location you can pay the pre determined amount before you step into the club. Using 5k as an example, $3300 would be the number for as close to 5k. $4620 after tax, auto, LET, then $300 to host, $50 security and $30 for the busser= 5k

Easy rule of thumb for the tab we just add 40% on top of the number for the tax and all w/o handshake and 2 tips.

I will be in Vegas late June/early July and willing to split bottle service. I've done it many times, always lots of fun.
