  • Have you ever pitched in/shared bottle service?

2 couples going to Vegas in late June/early July staying at MGM. I've tried to convince my buddy to do bottle service at Hak, Marquee, XS, Light, or anywhere good for that matter. But hes so resiliant as to "spending to much money for drinks". Ive tried telling him its vegas!!!!!! So I've thought about offering the option to meet up with other people and pitching in on bottle service. Any thoughts or past experiences? It would be 4 people; 2guys/2girls. How many people to a table, avergage spend all in? What are the chances of people ditching/not paying up? How would you sell this to my friend if you were speaking to him in person?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes twice and no problems. The problem you will face is the math portion with your friend. I was that guy once. You need to understand his budget and what he feels is going to be spent that night in the club. Now add explaining to his woman that the 4 of you are going to meet up with some strangers to split a table?

I would go in a different direction....pool for just the 4 of you. The min commit is for food and drinks which also gives you a place to park it. Better value, longer time, etc. Do a pool day and then go his route for the club. Pre sale tix or make his life miserable by just waiting on line. Then deal with hassles of getting drinks at the bar, going back over to where you are at with the drinks, wait on line for the bathroom possibly. Have the woman have to wait on line for the bathroom.

Suddenly the thought/view changes. Especially if women are involved. After a day of having a place to sit, talk, have a waitress bring you drinks, food, etc and then turn around and be part of the masses at the club? Things that make you go hmmm...My friend did this to me. After that day his way and that night doing it my way I saw the light. On top of that, the now wife, gf at the time, made me promise her never again my way. She and the gf's like the "VIP" treatment and as the saying goes now...happy wife...happy life.

+1 for the above. Experience is the only way to truly get someone to buy in, and the advice above is a sure fire way to make the difference clear.

Dealt with this last May with my group of friends. After one night where I offered to foot the bill, they "got it" and pitched in....I knew they would...but was prepared to take the hit if needed rather than have a shitty night.

I would LOVE to see how the conversation goes if you expect girls to pay their fair share for this kind of thing.
            I'll bring my popcorn.

Yeah - we always calculate split based on number of guys; girls aren't part of the equation for $$ at my tables in Vegas.

You can always go the lounge route initially. Light Group does packages for those. Click on VIP Lounge packages on this link:

                  http://lightgroup.com/bachelorette/i...uys-night-out/

You can upgrade the 2 bottles for additional $100 to top shelf.

May want to look at Chateau also. They're doing 2 botles of Goose for $600.

Girls will and have paid their fair share in bottle service. I organized bottle service my last trip to Vegas. I did all the planning and research and contacted hosts. Just told the group how much and what we're getting. No complaints from the guys or girls.

For the original poster, it's Vegas, go all out if you can. Bottle service isn't just paying for expensive drinks. You're paying for the experience and seating, lol. Drinks are already expensive on their own, calculate the math and tell your friend this is what a good night would cost with and without bottle service. When he sees the #s, it'll make sense to go the bottle service route. Good luck!

The only time I've opted out of going in with a mixed group is if I know that the girls can get a way better deal on our own table, and then we do exactly that. But I also don't split tables with guys who expect me to bone them for the privilege of a vodka cranberry, so it wouldn't occur to them to give me a pass on pitching in.

Try what kp3205 suggests with starting at a day club or a smaller club, things are less expensive that way. If you can swing it, get your own table, maybe find people from this forum to split it with if you can. And just leave everyone else behind in the GA line. We did this to two of our cheap friends once and they lasted about 30 minutes.
I'm not bitchy, I'm just drawn that way.

Nothing worse than friends saying "we don't really feel like doing a table", when they actually mean "we feel like sitting at a table but not paying for it".

Have had girls chip in before but depends on situation. Did we invite them after organising it or did we all decide together? If we had it sorted and then invited them, unlikely to ask for contribution. Even if they were in on decision, can be fairer to acknowledge that they could get comp drinks without a table anyway whereas we guys couldn't.

I'm sure it has happened. But is it really even up for debate that this isn't the norm?

yes, i do agree that it's not the norm.

some girls do feel that they shouldn't have to pay their share because they can get it for free...

have split/shared many times and all has gone pretty smoothly. definitely make payment arrangements before hand and meet up at a crowded bar or restaurant before and get your finances in order, don't wait until the bill comes at the end to sort it all out or it will be a disaster.

have been searching the interwebs to see if there is a place where you can find people to split and found bottlesplit.com they have the concept but it appears like there are only a handful of active members
