  • Bottle Service Host - Help - Bachelor Party

I am trying to set up bottle service for a 12 guy bachelor party and needed some advice. My dates are for the nights of April 12th and 13th. Preferably EDM music over Hip-Hop and are looking at Surrender, XS, Tryst, and Marquee. The Dj’s playing that weekend range from Eric Prydz to Avicci to Madeon.

I have never set up bottle service so I am researching all of my options. I received a quote from Vegas Rep Carpet VIP vipnite.com . I knew going in they are more expensive because they pick your exact table, escort you in and it is one fixed price including tax tips etc. Any thoughts on these guys? They have very good feedback/reviews.
The second question is what If I wanted to not use them and go through a direct contact of the club or a different “host”. I have been in contact with a guy who I think is a “host” but works directly for Surrender which I don’t know if that means he’s an exclusive promoter for Surrender? Im new to this so I don’t know the difference. Basically found him on twitter and have never done any business with him. I inquired about the night of April 12th Eric Prydz at Surrender. He explained that it will be $500 a bottle and for all 12 guys it would be $1500 minimum spend for 3 bottles. He said a table on the dance floor would be 5k. I asked if it would be better to only do part of the group and he said 6 guys would be $1000 minimum spend.

Are any of these good deals? Surrender on a Friday vs. doing XS Saturday with Madeon or Marquee Saturday with Avicci. I don’t think over $250 a person is going to fly with this group but Im unsure what the prices for these typically are. Assuming I decided on $1500 minimum for 12 guys can someone walk me through how my night would play out? Im trying to figure out what to quote my friends? $1500 + 20% Grat and 8.25% tax is $1923.75. What do I tip my “host”? Do I tip anyone else on the way in? How does this work? Will I have to wait in the table line or will he walk us right in? Will we be pushed from our table if we don’t keep buying bottles? Can we leave a half bottle sitting there to milk the night and order drinks from waitress etc?

I would really appreciate any help on this matter.

    Thanks

You won't be pushed from your table if you don't buy more bottles. You have the total price figured correctly. You don't have to tip anyone if you don't want to, but there can be advantages like a host getting you a better table for a lower minimum. The VIP services book tables through the hosts who work for the clubs which is why most of the people on this site recommend booking directly.

You might have to wait a bit in the table line especially if you show up after 10:30-10:45. A host will take you to your table, it might not be the one you booked with but that's fine.

What did the VIP companies quote you, and did they give you specific table locations.?

Yeah you definitely won't get pushed of the table, all you got to do is hit your minimum and if you guys end up drinking the first two bottles for example in the first hour and just sit on the third or even on no bottle for the rest of the night that's totally fine. I honestly have to say $1,500 for 12 guys on a Friday night at Surrender even for an outside table is not a bad deal.

And ccc is right you don't have to tip anyone else if you don't want to, but a few people that might work harder for you if you do are the security guy and the bus boy besides the host at the entrance.

        ABC-
Sounds like you have never been to Surrender, XS, Tryst, and Marquee.
First off each is a little different-
XS- three huge leds, confetti, lasers, etc is your table inside vs outside
Marquee- huge led, confeffi, lasers, etc table inside vs outside
Surrender is a room of encore beach club with one led- is your table inside surrender or around encore beach club
        Tryst- has a waterfall
Look at table maps on here to get ideas of where you will be located.
That weekend Avicii at Marquee will probably have the highest table prices because he is the biggest name.
But you should go with the DJ you like.

All that being said you can get Presale tickets for XS for $40 each. So you might want to get presales then do a free limo ride/ free entry to a strip club that has a bottle deal. But have a plan to get everyone back to hotel- you don't need to be taking three cabs all the way across town.

I got a quote from Red Carpet my first time getting bottle service...long story short, they were charging a $500 premium over what I was able to do myself directly with the club. They have to make money too ya know...just the way it is.

You'll be better off booking direct. If you feel good/comfortable with the person you're working with, by all means use them. $1500 minimum for 12 guys is a great minimum. That would put your table outside, but it will be packed with Prydz there so no problem really. I don't think $1000 minimum for 1/2 your group is a good plan, because the others will probably have to buy presales that will cost around $300 anyway just to get them in...and you won't have that third bottle.

With a $1500 minimum I'd do $200 to the host and budget another $100 for a cushion/other tips inside. That would total $2250 ($188/guy).
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Chuck - I’m not sure if I feel good with the person, I mean he was a recommendation via Twitter. He has been responding very quickly to all my texts and been answering all of my simple club 101 questions but should I feel more comfortable with someone that a Jack Colton member refers?
The table will definitely be outside but we haven’t discussed exact location yet.

Chuck - Assuming that I use this host or any host for that matter and we agree to a minimum and a general table location what is to stop them from upping the minimum or not following through on the table location? Also, does the host I’m in communication with walk us in or how does that work if a different host seats us?

I understand the basic idea of giving a $200 tip and most likely he will get us a better table but applying that to the actual events I’m a little confused? It seems like in my mind these tables are all pre reserved. So do I text him earlier in the night and tell him will be giving him a xxx tip and I’m hoping for a great table? If we arrive and he meets us outside and I slip him the $200 does he have the ability at that point to get us a better table? If I give him $200 and another host is given $300 does the higher tipped host end up with the table and give the $200 tipped host a little cut? Haha sorry but there is just so much grey area in this process that it’s hard to understand without being in this industry.

CCC – Red Carpet verbally quoted me something like $3700ish for 12 guys and a bigger table/cabana at Marquee for Avicii on 4/13. 4 bottles not super high end he quoted me stoli etc.. Exact location was not main room where you could see Avicii but another area where the music is still streamed ( I think he said outside?) and a lot of foot traffic good for a bachelor group etc.. I haven’t gotten the contract yet but Im thinking I will use a direct host and save some $$$.

BayAreaOlli – You mentioned tipping security, if I’m tipping a host to walk us in past security isn’t that part of the reason of using a host so you don’t have to tip security to get in? The bus boy, doesn’t he get a cut from the waitress?

All the tips the hosts get they turn in, at the end of the night all the tips are split amongst them. Some get 3% some get 6% depends on their seniority.
Definitely let them know beforehand that you will be tipping. It will help justify holding a table if you're running a little late or getting a better table that normally has a higher minimum.

Quote seems a bit high. Regular cabanas should be 2k minimums and 3k for grand cabanas. It's the only thing that will fit your group outside.

He means the security that's gonna be at your table. Keeping strangers away from your table, walking you to the bathroom, grabbing girls for you, etc.
Host isnt gonna walk you past security, they have to check your IDs
The bus boy does a get a cut from the waitress but it is a very small cut for all that they do. If you're gonna tip anyone tip bussers, they do most of the work.

The security tip is for the guard in the area of your table, not at the door.

As for the quote for Avicii, check with one of the host from the front page for a quote. It sounds like a regular cabana outside. But, if it's only 4 bottles you are definitely getting screwed at that price. That's a 2k min.

What's the hosts name you've been working with...you can post it here...not a big deal. It may be a solid contact, all hosts are on Twitter. The upside to using a host that Forum members recommend is that they are very reliable, and tend to give Forum members a little extra attention (they know the value of being a trusted host here).

For your minimum, you won't ever talk 'exact' table location, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's perfectly normal, don't lose any sleep over it.

Re: your minimum being raised, it's a rare occurence, but it happens. At the end of the day, VIP tables in Vegas are all about supply and demand. It's very rare that it happens though, don't worry about it. This is another reason to use a reputable host that everyone from the forums recommends....they're more reliable.

I usually tell them the tip when I book the table...I'll give them my group size, date, the minimum I want, location I prefer, and amount of tip. They'll respond if that sounds "doable" or not. You don't have to do this, but in reality, the host tip is a part of the equation so I think it's best just to be up front about it. If you can't afford a big tip, then don't talk about it, and just tip what you can when you get there. There's no right or wrong way to do it. It just makes sense to disclose the tip, if you plan on tipping well.

Hosts share tips....so he who brings in higher tips generally will snag better tables. It benefits all hosts if someone can bring in a big tip for a better table.

Don't get freaked out by all the tipping. The only REQUIRED tip is the auto-gratuity to your server. The rest is totally up to you.
Most people who don't know how everything works probably drop their host $20-50 and never tip anyone else. I'm sure they still have fun. Big tippers just have more fun
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

                    I agree - I think you're lucky it wasn't $2k for 12 guys.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this above - but the answer to your "what if another host is being given $300" question is this: get there early. The earlier, the better your table. If your group ($200 group) gets there before the other group ($300 group), then you'll get the table. Why? Because for all the club knows, that other table might end up being a no-show.

Also, I'm assuming it's a JC-recommended host you've booked with - who will definitely look after you, just like we look after them by funneling people their way. If they a burn a few of their clients, then those clients will post here - and we will adjust our recommended hosts accordingly.

Read through the "Host Appreciation Thread" on here to see some of the hosts that people have used and their experiences with them.

Vegas isn't cheap and $250 a person is not expensive for a night out in Vegas.

Anyone have a known Surrender Host that they highly recommend with good reviews that would take care of a fellow JC member?

The host I was talking about above that quoted me those prices is Matt Lounds http://www.matthewsguestlist.com/
Anyone have any experience with the guy?
Sounds like Anthony K is a Senior VIP Manager at Surrender, would he be a better/more reliable source to book through?

I always try to go through a host that works at the club vs a third party promoter. Anthony K has been very responsive when I've reached out to him and it seems like he gets a lot of good reviews from other JC members. I'd probably feel more comfortable going through him if all things are equal.

Yeah I'd go with Anthony K over Matt Lounds for sure....from what I can gather from Matt's spamming of people's Instagram photos he's pretty new. May do a great job for you, I'd just feel more comfortable using a host like Anthony with a good track record.
