  • Mar 14-17 Wynncore Advice-- 2 couples

First of all--this site is extremely helpful and I appreciate all those that contribute. I have been hooked since reading my first thread..

Staying at Encore Mar 14-17-- 2 couples-- looking to do BS 1-2 nts and would prefer to stay within the complex if possible--open to all formats of music,

Most table recommendations on here are for group of guys looking to better the chances of attracting females---I could use some help with some advice for tables/areas in the club that are good for drinking/dancing for those that come in a smaller group that will stay a smaller group and not be overrun by the masses

lucky for us the weather looks to be getting warmer next weekend and the djs are strong...unfortunately we are only a group of 4 so I want to make sure I get feedback from you all first before finalizing the plans..

    thanks in advance

If you want to exclusively stay in the complex, I would recommend:

March 14 - Manufactured Superstars @ Tryst (oddly looks like Knife Party are at Surrender that night, but they might be a bit too hard dub/electro for you)
    March 15 - David Guetta @ XS
March 16 (day) - Encore Beach Club
    March 16 - Calvin Harris @ Surrender
    March 17 - Redfoo @ XS

Keep in mind these are EDM clubs and not "open format", but the DJs have tracks that will be recognisable to you/your partners. Note that there is a double-up at XS in the above list. If you wanted to mix things up, then maybe swap out Redfoo @ XS for Bank @ Bellagio (which will be open format).

Since you are in a small group, you will be on the patio (outside). You might be able to get a 1 bottle minimum with your group size and ratio.

I would recommend bottle service when you have females in your group, as it gives them a place to sit down. It's not all about attracting women - with table service you get your own space to dance in (security will make sure of that), talk to each other, and get that "VIP" experience.

EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

good points--not having been to surrender or xs-- what is the experience like out on the patio if you want to dance--

is it better to spend a bit more at a back wall table at xs say on Fri for David Guetta and do GL/GA for Surrender on Sat... or outside table for both nights and work our way inside when it is time--my guess is both will be packed

tryst on thurs looks like the best bet--

Well, you will have a lot more space because you are outdoors - but you won't have line of sight to the DJ. Backwall minimum is probably 4 times as much as patio, so it's a hefty jump in price. Really depends on your budget. If you are interested, you can post in the Get Connected forum and maybe you can split with another group. I know there's some bachelorette party on here contemplating Guetta/Calvin Harris too, but not sure their budget and whether they want to share.

If you tip your security guy outside, he will force a way through the dancefloor crowd for you.

The Surrender patio tables that are just where you come outside are good. A solid host tip will get you these, without you having to pay for a much more expensive table inside.

As for Tryst, because it's Thursday you can probably get a deal like b1g1.

If your thinking of presale tickets vs table
I would say Presales are better for Guetta and table is better for Calvin depending location.
XS is a BIG club and if your have never been before try it out with presales.
Plus XS has a big dance floor.

Surrender has a much smaller dance floor. Its a room that is part of Encore Beach Club.

There is a post online about a VIP Table for 4-Not sure what you get with that- its probably outside Surrender around Encore Beach.

On Thursday/Sunday table prices will be lower.

if we do end up outside at XS--what tables do you recommend?

ocam--are you talking about the 30s tables at Surrender--or another area?

is tryst even a comparable option for sat night with Jermaine Dupri--I know different style than Calvin Harris/Fedde--but I'm talking more about the crowd/atmosphere.. at the end of the day it is a couples trip so I want to make sure I cover all bases--

XS - I'd recommend the ones right behind the DJ like 850/855 or 725/730. These will have a lower min than backwall and are a good mix of in the action/out of the craziness.

Surrender - from an image I saw, it was table 30/38.

Everywhere in LV is good and busy on a Saturday; but you'll struggle to get any "cheap deals". Whether Dupri would be comparable, it depends on the music you like - you seem a bit more open-minded about music, whereas I personally would prefer to see Calvin cos that's more my style.

This is helpful- I was told a 3k min for inside next Friday for XS-which seems to be pretty standard based on what I have read on here- don't know yet about patio for surrender on the 16th

Not looking to be cheap- just don't have firsthand experience in those clubs

Did you talk about the size of your "handshake"/tip and whether that could drop the minimum down?

You're not being cheap at all - no one here will criticise you for trying to get the best bang for your buck.

what worries me is "no firsthand experience with these clubs" and "open to all formats of music"
Because its just two couples have you thought about a REALLY nice dinner?
Spending $3,000+ for four people (over $750+ a person) is a lot to spend if you don't really care what your listening to.

Try Tryst on Thursday night you should get a deal b1g1- see how everyone feels.
Maybe checkout Encore Beach club opening on 3/16

The DJ is drawing the crowd- Guetta/Calvin/Fedde/Dupri each has own fans
This is a rough way to look at it but Facebook fans Guetta 40m, Calvin 2m, Fedde 800k, Redfoo 550k, Dupri 36k
That is part of the reason why Guetta is going to have the most expensive tables and Dupri is going to have the cheapest.

We are looking at an outside 2-bottle table at XS on the next Friday the 22nd. What is the scene outside like in mid-late March? Seems isolated, and it won't exactly be warm out, but I haven't had a table out there since they built the DJ stage. The stage does look kind of "open" though. We'd show up early and hopefully get something like you mentioned, 850/855, 725/730...but no idea on the exact location.

Also, it's Hard Rock Sofa that night, will it be tough to go back and forth from outside to the dance floor, without relying on a security guy? Thanks!

I hear you--my wife and I have gone out to clubs in the other hotels, just not in the wynn complex-- the other two we are coming with have never been to vegas....so I am trying to hopefully give them a great experience in the clubs

only 1 week to go.. I wish it was today
