There are 6 of us girls ages 28-33 who have never been to a Vegas club. The original plan was to go to dinner at TAO first and then just skip over to the club because we heard that's the easiest way to bypass the line. However, I haven't seen much about TAO lately and we really want to hit a fun club for our first time. It seems like Marquee, XS, and 1Oak have been getting the most props. We'll be there March 15-18 but plan on clubbing it up on the 16th. Any advice would be much appreciated. Oh and what's the difference between the "host" and the "guestlist host"? Thanks!!

If you and your crew are dress to to the nines you shouldn't have a problem getting into most clubs as long as you get there at a decent time and contact one of the hosts listed here. Just let them know a couple days ahead of time to see if they can add you on the guestlist. I don't think there's much of a difference between a host and guestlist host unless the "guestlist host" is strictly there to get you on the guestlist but most hosts will handle bottle service and getting people on the list. As it's your first time clubbing you should try one of the larger clubs these days like Xs or Marquee....but your music preference can make a difference as well. If you have any preferences with music let someone know and they can give you more ideas on here

XS/Marquee if you like electronic music; 1OAK/Tao/Tryst if you prefer "open format" (a mixture of hiphop/top40/some electronic music later on)EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

+1 for XS or Marquee for EDM music and "wow" factor.
Calvin Harris is going to be at Surrender on the 16th, so that could be an option as well.
1OAK is having a "Arizona Spring Break Takeover" party the 16th...promoting that 200 "sexy spring break college girls from Arizona" will be there. Just something to consider. Rob Kardashian will be there the 15th.
Tao is still a good spot...will be packed and has two rooms with separate djs.

My advice: Stay away from Tao dinner and club. It's one of my least favorite clubs.
Stick to XS, Surrender, and Tryst. Even 1Oak is a good option. Marquee gets crazy packed and getting around the club is difficult with a big group. I wouldn't worry about getting in if you're a group of girls.

Definitely agree with marquee getting packed. However, if you go to any Tier 1 club on a big night, you can expect it to be about the same (Especially if you decide on Calvin Harris @ Surrender)Originally posted by maydayrelay View PostMy advice: Stay away from Tao dinner and club. Would love to hear why it's one of your least fave clubs...I was considering Tao for one night during our upcoming trip. Any specifics would be greatly appreciated!Originally posted by maydayrelay View PostMy advice: Stay away from Tao dinner and club. It's one of my least favorite clubs.

I've been there probably 10+ times and never had a good time. It's the only club that I refuse to go back. Small dancefloor, very hard to get drinks at the bar, long lines for the restrooms, and just getting around the club is a huge pain. Even on busy nights, it's fairly easy to walk around clubs like XS and Tryst, though Surrender can also get slammed (but it's a small club).
When I go to Tao, I usually want to leave right away. Let's put it this way: if they offered me a free bottle, I wouldn't go. I'd rather pay and go somewhere else.
