  • Bachelor Party Dinner

12 guys on a Friday night looking for a nice place to have a typical bachelor party dinner. Looking for a classy place that feels traditional but with a great scene. When I close my eyes to picture it I see that Ciroc commercial with Diddy, Aaron Paul, Michael K. Williams etc. but I'm pretty sure that a night like that is out of our budget. Looking not to spend more the $150-$200 max PP.
    Thanks!

what kind of food? when i hear traditional, i hear steaks...?? if steak, then stk at cosmo is just like the nyc one, trendy, hip, dj, etc. joe's stone crab, seafood, steaks, etc, at caesars has a great private room that feels like you're in a board room with windows overlooking the strip. n9ne at palms is a good combo of classic steakhouse with modern, chic, fun vibe. carnevino and cut are probably a little to uppity, if you will, for a group of 12 guys on a bachelor party. but the other places, you will be able to have a great meal, plenty of wine/drinks for $200 per person. probably a little less wine for $150 per person, lol.

+1 for STK and n9ne...those would be my top 2 for a bach party.

Also - where are you staying at and partying at later that night? Most hotels have a few great places and it can be kind of a pain trying to get around the strip on weekend nights. If you are trying to get from Wynn to The Palms at 7pm on a Friday/Saturday night with 15 guys in cabs/limos it might take 30 minutes or longer.
Plus, you may have some "fallen soldiers" from day time partying that won't make it on time or will sit down for dinner and realize they are better off getting a longer nap in. (Spoken from experience)

Thanks for the input guys. We are from NY so STK is out, we dont want anything that has a location back east. I have heard good thing about N9NE but I always find it a hassle to get to the palms (we're staying at the Venetian). I have eaten at Joe's many times and love it, I'm thinking that might be our best bet. I also love Cut at the Palazzo but it's gonna be a little too pricey.
Anybody have any experience with Carnevino?

Personally I love LAVO @ The Palazzo. Great Italian and can set it up for $75 - $125 PP.

I second Lavo since you're near there anyway. I wouldnt do Cut or Carnevino for a batchelor party dinner. Just doesnt seem like the right vibe for that. I had a business dinner at both Cut and Carnevino last year. Its a more reserved setting for a date or proper adult conversations. haha.

I would feel awkward yelling across the table nasty jokes and stories with the friends. LOL.

I havent done been to all the Italian spots at Venetian but I think some of those may have areas to accomodate large group away from the main dining area.

Yea, I saw you were from NY, hence the quick description of STK. Honestly, based on where you're staying, stick with joes, ask for the private room, or like noah said, if you want to go italian and chops, go lavo, but then you also run into the not indigenous to vegas thing. Carnevino is the same situation as cut...very pricey and im not sure atmosphere is right for 12 guys. However, theres also delmonicos at the venetian. Food has always been good and its not as high in prices as cut or carnevino.

Ok so I think were set on Joes for a friday night, man I love that stone crab. On Saturday night we'll be going to FIX for a huge joint Bachelor/Bachelorette dinner. A few of us are getting in on Thursday (5 of us), any suggestions for a cool setting with a scene that's on the inexpensive side?

Good call on Joe's. Always consistent and since you've been, you know what you're getting. For Thursday, you looking for restaurant, lounge/bar, or club suggestions?

Restaurant/lounge with a fun scene. Something more relaxed with a good crowd, I want Thursday to be our least pretentious night lol.

though not a restaurant, hyde may fit the bill. it's not open as a club on thursdays, just a lounge and they serve food until 10pm; small plates, etc. and from what has been said on here, thursdays are apparently their best lounge night. hit up anthony connely, he's all over these boards.

another spot, even though it's in the city, could be tao. the vegas one has more of a loungy feel, and if you decide you wanna keep the night going, you can always head right upstairs to the club.

Don't know if anyone is still watching this thread, but I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for a lower budget but still nice dinner on a Thursday. Anyone have experience with Roy's or Firefly Tapas? The cost of our trip is spiraling out of control so I'm looking for something with great value and and a fun scene.

Never been to either of those but have done tapas at other places a few times. Gotta be careful with Tapas as the cost can sneak up on you. Last time I went to one with budget in mind. Then they hand you that massive menu with all that good shit and the leave the menu. Before you know it you have ordered 4 items and drinks and suddenly you're at like $70 per person. I would suggest a sports bar of some kind Thursday. Most of the new hotels have great food in their sports bars and less risk of staring down the barrel of a $1200 dinner bill.

Thanks Chuck, I actually like that idea. The Thursday we are in town will be an NFL night so that works out. I like the book at the Palazzo and a few others. I've heard great things about the Aria book, any experience?
