Always before/during the flight, and in the limo upon arrival. It is KEY to keep the flow during check-in. Learned the hard way last time. If at any point you break stride it can bite you in the ass bad.

Anyone take those airplane bottles with them anymore? I've never tried it...I think it should be okay as far as security goes...
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Pre-flighting is perfect when your plane lands in the evening... straight off the plane to the hotel then the club.... this time our plane leaves at 7am and lands at 9am Vegas time.

Usually I agree, looks like we're both in the same boat this time... Take off at 6:55 land at 7:55, probably won't have much, if any sleep, so I'm taking my 2 hrs in the air to get a few minutes of sleep. But who knows I'll probably have a bloody Mary.

Pre gaming on a morning flight is just asking for trouble. If its an international flight over 8 hours long then it has to be done.

Typically, we don't. However, on our upcoming trip my crew is flying first class from Atlanta to Vegas and leaving at 5:30 PM. I would say there's a good chance things will be different this time around.

I absolutely love to booze on the plane/airports.

In two weeks, given that I have about 12 hours of travel time, I will likely sounds like Hunter Thompson when I check in.
                  Things escalated quickly...

anyone who asks the taxi to stop on the way to the hotel at a liquor/grocery store how much does more does that usually run. just debating if its worth it on the way from the airport, or just hit a walgreens up once we are all checked in?

                      Sounds like Vons it is!
ziplock bag works. my pair of swimming trunks has a little plastic compartment that is double-zippered so i can throw em in there. maybe create something similar to that? not sure if this works since ive never tried it but maybe a lanyard with a plastic pocket attached?

Yall are talking about plastic and cotton/linen getting wet... what does it matter? Just get board shorts with a zipped pocket and put your credit cards, cash and ID in them and forget about it. There is no need for plastic bags or anything else to keep it dry.

To save stopping the cab, is there anywhere near enough to Paris to just pop out and get stuff? I know there's a Walgreens in the Venetian (or used to be) but is there anywhere further south on the Strip?

PH right next door has a cvs. Little more expensive but not too bad. There is alsi a cvs by City Center.

For those who ordered Vons delivery, did you meet them at the entrance, or did they deliver to your room?

If you can drink more than one bottle, it is worth it. I don't know how much of a difference it is since I always stop first and have nothing to compare it to.

Personally, I have my routine down and know exactly what to get. Make sure you grab a busser right when you walk in and tell them you need alcohol (most of it is locked up). So it depends on how fast you are at grabbing your goods.
