Taking the Fear out of GA

Went GA at Marquee for Erik Morillo. 5 guys, 1 girl. We were staying at Vdara so we got there super early and completely sober like at 915. Lol. Got in as soon as it opened, got stamped and went back to our room to drink.

Came back drunk at midnight when it was poppin, and went right in the re-entry line.

Lesson: If you're worried about GA then get there real early and come back later buzzed.

Thats not always fool proof. If the club hits capacity early. There can be a wait to get back in, even with re-entry or in pre-sale line. Just depends on who's gonna be the DJ that night too.

True but in my experience the reentry line moves a lot faster than presale or GA. Especially at Marquee where the reentry is a floor below the club. (long flight of stairs up though lol)

For me, the worst part of waiting is the 'will I get in?' not the actual waiting. I'd much rather spend 20 minutes in line knowing I'm getting in when the line moves, as opposed to ten wondering what's going to happen when I get to the door.

For me this tip is a winner, I was put off GA because I'm not used to being inside a club at 10pm and sticking around all night.

I was denied at Tao with 3 friends (all guys) around 1am.

We were told they weren't letting in unescorted gentlemen that evening.

At the time we were up huge in gambling and had maybe $25k in our pockets between the four of us. We asked the bouncer "Can we bribe you?", and he said no.

So we walked away a little shocked.

It turns out we should've just bought bottle service but we didn't even know what that was at the time and/or the bouncer should've mentioned it.

Oh well.

I've never been refused entry, or waited so long that it made me leave.

No magic secrets.

Have a good ratio (1:1 or better).

Show up early (10:30 or before depending on the club)

Follow the dress code.


Whether you're talking GA or guest list group with a good mix of girls, that's the formula.

And I don't always even follow the dress code.

l3 of my buddies and I decided to hit up Pure G/A. We where in line for about 45 min when my friend decides to grease the bouncer. He initially agreed to taking our bribe, he just told us to wait a couple more minutes so we where like sweet. So after about another 15 min my friend decides to check back with the bouncer, something must of really annoyed him because he pretty much told off my friend and kicked us out of the line lol. We ended up at chateau and the rest of the night is a blurr.....

Fails

1) Tao - Spring Break 2011

One of my boys gets too drunk and stumbles when getting off the escalator, right in front of the bouncer. Got told he was too drunk to get in. There was a minimal line at this point

2) Tao - Summer 2010?

A big group of us had gone to XS. Two of my boys left XS because they got tired of the EDM and headed to Tao. Waited in line and got to the front and were told "Sorry gentlemen, we cannot accommodate you". Not sure if it was the ratio, the time or whatever. Wasn't there

Have had a few near fails with Marquee because of uneven ratio but end up greasing or finding extra girls

Also have witnessed dudes getting rejected for wearing sneakers all the time

Nah we didn't give him the money right away, he just set us aside since he was helping someone else

I was surprised and we where going to give him a pretty nice handshake too. I didnt do none of the talking so who knows what words where exchange but I doubt my friend was out of line he just wanted to know if the deal was still on.

Newbie here!
My self and two other guys just got on the guest list for Tao on Saturday of MDW. Should we put in for 6 people and find three girls when we get there or would we be okay just us three being on the guest list?
