Your Opinion of Marquee Night Club

I'm trying to get a feel for what Marquee is like. I've read some reviews on Yelp but it seems like they are either overly negative or overly positive. So please let me know what you think.

I have not been, but people on here will probably tell you that there is a good reason that it is "the Hottest Club in the US" (maybe in the world.)
I have been to Tao, Surrender and Tryst.
You will probably also hear that if you don't have a table, that it will be very crowded.
I recommend that you "Like" Marquee on Facebook and have a look at the pictures. Then "Like" some of the other clubs and have a look. Marquee looks pretty Top Notch based on this comparison.
The people who complain on Yelp probably thought that their $50 cover charge would ensure that they would get great service and have not been to many clubs before.

Pros: It's in the cosmo. Lots of beautiful young people. It is BIG. The 3 rooms that play different music. Good DJs.

Cons: It will get packed on weekends, annoyingly packed. They close off the dancefloor when it gets too crowded. The lines can be confusing outside just have an idea of where to go before you arrive. Sometimes they make you walk all the way around through this weird hallway to exit the club.

Overall I feel it all depends on you and your group. If you have people complaining about it being crowded, about having to walk stairs to get to different rooms, about drinks price, you're gonna have a bad time. I personally think it is great because there are just so many things going that you can't possibly get bored. Sure the crowds might be annoying but you'll find that at any club on the weekends.

I went for Kaskade in March and found it to be so packed that we literally could not move on the dance floor. We couldn't even get move to get OFF the dance floor. We ended up checking out the other rooms briefly, but left shortly thereafter. I probably would have had a better time if the we wouldn't have been on the dance floor lol. Get a table if you're going to Marquee. I'd probably give it another shot on a future trip, but last time it just did not work out.

Agree with Dex. Know what you're getting into and enjoy yourself no matter what. I personally have never had a bad night at Marquee. Whether its elbow to elbow or if its a private event with half packed floor.

Drinks, if someones going to complain about prices, it is what it is. Its Vegas and in a top club in the world. Its not a house party where you brought your own beer or a local dive bar.

Music, if you're into EDM/House, you'll enjoy the main room. The hip hop room is there if you like a diff style of music.

I've always thought that people that complain about certain things are either not familiar with the setting. Cover charges will be there and you cant get away from that.

Basically its VEGAS, check out Marquee and enjoy it for what it is. Its not going to be a dead club, if thats what you like. It'll be packed for a reason since everyone wants to be there.

I loved it. It was packed on the dance floor, but I just hung out near the patio doors opposite the dance floor and enjoyed the show. Otherwise I would hang in the Library or the patio and still had a great time. Like everybody said, don't go there with whiners and you'll have a great time. Place is beautiful.

I didn't like it. Too packed, you have to walk in through some side stairs, up and down. Security in the club like to let their hands wander while they're guiding you away from the dance floor, boombox room is hotter than being in 100 degree sun. It's just not comfortable. People are hot though and the sound system is legit.

Getting a table seems to definitely be the way to go.

Met a group of girls from East Coast about 3 weeks ago at Surrender and this one friend was just whining all night. The rest of the girls were totally having fun on their 1st and only night in Vegas. I tried to be the wingman to the homies but she was just hard to please and they ended up bouncing early like 1:30. What a CBer. LOL. YA dont bring the negativity and I'm sure you'll have fun at any place.

It is really packed. But there is a reason for it. Slightly overrated? Probably. But it's an impressive club, bottle service makes the experience a lot more enjoyable.

- Not even close. Too many flaws to be the "best club ever". If you like EDM and can get on the dance floor early enough and manage to not have to piss for 4 hours before a top DJ in the world comes on, then maybe. I was there a few weeks back and the walkway around the dance floor was downright dangerous.

The dancefloor in the main room is alot rougher than XS. I ain't gonna lie, I've come close to throwing down with peeps who bumped into me in a rude/arrogant way in there more than a few times. I don't care how crowded a venue is, if I'm standing somewhere, respect my personal space. If you bump into me just apologize. It's common courtesy.

Never had a bad time at Marquee, always a blast! but at the same time I never did GA at Marquee, always had a table/cabana.

And I can definitely see the viewpoint of people who are complaining about main floor being insanely packed. Biggest problem with that is hallways leading to dance floor is really narrow, so when it close to time when headliner DJ is about to come on or when DJ is on people try to get to the best possible view or get a spot in the main room/dance floor so it gets crazy crowded and hectic. When we had cabanas I mainly kicked back at the outside patio and enjoyed the time, it is beautiful outside, lot of people still outside, music is loud and they got huge screen shows the DJ booth, so still a great party, plus outside restrooms are way easier to access comparing to inside, and I tried to head out to the main floor few times and I was like ''fuck that idea'' and went back in.

Last Halloween I shut down the place with Kaskade pretty much, we had a cabana outside, once the bottles were gone it was like around 4 or 5 A.M., I did head out to the main floor, it was way less packed, actually ended up right by the front row near the DJ booth and had a blast!

So if you are planning to do GA; expect to pay cover, expect to wait in line (unless if you are set to get in faster way pre-sale ticket, host etc..), expect to be elbow to elbow, expect that bars will be crowded and if you can say I don't give a fuck about any of these negatives I am just going to there to party with lot of beautiful people, massive sound and visual systems and best DJs in the world then Marquee will be your spot, no doubt.

If you don't want any of these GA problems then I suggest get a table or cabana.

I personally like being on the dance floor if its a certain DJ im down to listen too. Bottle Service, you're on your own and you're not mingling with the crowd. To me, thats part of the fun. Ya it can get packed at times, but move around in other areas in the meantime. Chat it up with some ladies at the bar area. Then move into the dance floor when theres some space to move around.

Everyone has their ideas of a good time at a club. I adjust to the situation and always make each visit a blast. Best times at Vegas clubs have been mostly without a table for me. Thats my experience.
