I busted my clubbing cherry last month at Pure, but my next trip is a bit more ambitious. My group is getting BS for the first time during MDW. I wanted to find out if my estimates are good or are off base for my trip. Right now we have 3 people who are going for sure. We have 2 people that are almost surely going but have not given me the 100% in for this trip. I am almost positive they are going. I am trying to figure price ranges for 3 and for 5 people so that I am prepared.
Here is what we are doing:
Friday: BS @ TAO
Saturday: Hosted entry into Marquee
We are using the same host for both nights. I have already locked this in for my group of 3. Once I get the word, I will be adding the other 2 people.
These are my price estimates for both scenarios (3 vs 5 people):
3 people:
Host tip: 300
Security: 100
Cocktail Waitress: 100
Busboy: 100
2 bottles: 500/ea
Tax + Fees: 300

Total: 1900 (633pp)
5 people:
Host tip: 500
Security: 100
Cocktail Waitress: 100
Busboy: 100
3 bottles: 500/ea
Tax + Fees: 450
--------------------
Total: 2750 (550pp)
Am I figuring this right? I am trying to provide accurate estimates for the members of my group.
Our second night, we are planning to get hosted entry for Marquee. How much would you tip the host upon entry for groups of 3 or 5 people? I was thinking 100pp, but I am not sure if this is high/low for MDW. I am also not sure if my business from the night before would affect the tip amount. I was assuming not.
I appreciate all the information this site has provided me thus far, and I am hoping to get some experience so that I may help others eventually
