  • First time at Vegas, staying at the Cosmo. Need help!

    Hey guys,
Thanks for all the great feedback in the hotel/resort forum. I'll be staying at the Cosmo from July 7th-9th (Saturday-Monday). I needed help planning since this will be my first time as an adult. I am going with 1 friend (guy), so I don't really know how we can do bottle service. The concert is at 9 on saturday, so would it be stupid to try to get a bottle at Marquee? Would they do bottle service for a group of 2 guys? In our ideal world (we are new to this and very naive), we would be doing the following:

    Saturday
Foster the People + bottle service at Marquee

    Sunday
Bottle service at Marquee day club (or two pool chairs at rehab) + bottle service at marquee (or dinner at e or dinner at Lavo + partying there after).

Thanks guys, I really have no idea what I'm doing. Hopefully a 100 dollar sandwich gets me a room upgrade!

They do bottle service for any amount of people.

What time does the concert end? I only ask this because you would have to be at the club at a certain time to claim your reservation. Especially a saturday night at marquee.

Sunday for MDC when you say bottle service do you mean a daybed or cabana?

I did bring up the time issue to my friend, since the concert starts at 9 and we probably wouldn't make it to Marquee till midnight. I guess I can email their manager and see what he says.

In regards to MDC, I would prefer to do a daybed since it's cheaper and there are only two of us. Rehab seems like the better "deal", but a really different crowd.

You can do bottle service with any amount but obviously, the less people, the less ways you can divide the bill. So if you have the budget for just 2 people, and really want to do it.. then go for it.

If i were you, id do dinner at e (assuming youve been invited) since thatd be a cool experience and youll feel special since theres only like 6 people in the room eating, and from what ive heard, the food is amazing.. then hit up marquee afterwards. And yes, a cabana would kidna be overkill for 2 guys.. go day bed..

          What's "e" where you're doing dinner?
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

its this super "secret" expensive, invite-only restaurant by the same guy that does jaleo at cosmo.. forgot his name. but theres only like 6-8 invited guests per sitting, so its an intimate environment where the person creating the dish (i believe its tapas style) is right infront of you

              é isn't invite only.

It's a private Sub-Restaurant (as in Restaurant inside a restaurant, not like a Subway) by José Andrés.

8 seats total, two seatings a night. Limited Nights.

No phone number, reservations only by email and *if* you are lucky enough to get a reservation they send you a Golden Ticket like in Willy Wonka.

Menu is all pre-arranged, typically between 18 and 25 courses and can also be paired with drinks for an additional cost.

              Check out Yelp for reviews.

In summary, it's a Foodie's heaven on Earth similar to that of Aliniea, Per Sè, El Bulli and MiniBar by José Andrés.

... And I'll be there in May ;-)

That sounds amazing! Gotta get that done on my next trip...where does a guy find this email for reservations?
I'm guessing it's probably $500 or so per person...

[email protected] - They accept reservations one month in advance, so if you have a specific date and time (their seatings when open are at 5:30 and 8:00pm) email them at midnight Las Vegas time 1 month before as it's first come, first served.

Cost is around $300 a person with the cocktail pairings, but it'll vary based on the amount of courses presented.

Caveat on that... yes, it's possible. Sometimes they do get No Shows as much as they try to avoid it, it does happen. If there is a group that drops down to 6 seats for a specific time, you *could* nab a spot in a pinch.

I do agree however that this isn't a spot to leave such to chance. My advice, try to get the resi a month ahead like they ask... get the Golden Ticket... make it a special occasion.

The OP is asking about bottle svc for two on a july 4th weekend and it turned into an overpriced buffet gorge lol! I guess if u don't mind having the shits at Marquee or even worse a potbelly the next day at MDC it doesn't matter!

It sounds like a great romantic idea...but not one with one of the fellas...

I'm hoping a $50 sammich will do the job for me.....good luck

4th of July weekend makes it tough. Honestly, I think we shouldn't even try Marquee our first night and just focus on Sunday since two guys aren't ideal for the clubs.

Fuck that! You're only there for a few days, you're staying at the Cosmo, so you won't have a problem getting in....bottle svc may not be viable since you'll be getting there late....put one of the Marquee hosts in your cell and just txt him when you're on your way....you never know...whatndo you have to lose?
