Your host's experience?

Does a host's length of employment with a club have bearing on their ability to hook up good table locations? Or is it all about your minimum spend, tip, time of arrival and availability, etc.? More simply, can a host who's been around for a couple months provide just as much as a more senior host that's been around for a while?

All things being equal, I would rather deal with the senior host. If push comes to shove, the senior host will get what he wants.

I just figured out the host at TAO Matt P referred me to just started working there a month ago. He's been great to work with so far and I understand everyone starts somewhere I'm just sweatin' everything since it's my wife's surprise birthday party. I probably just need to chill the fuck out.

It depends on a lot of factors, and there are positives and negatives to both. I certainly wouldnt ask a host this question, though. lol

A senior host might be able to get a better deal or location or less likely to get bumped but a new host might go out of his way to provide better service on things he can control (responding quicker, checking in on you more often, bringing girls to your table, helping you set up other nights, etc) cause you're very important to him at that stage of his career

Typically they try to work together since they split the tips at the end of the night. I really think you'll be OK. Don't stress too much.

what would be a mid range table at TAO for 3 dudes? $1250 min and where is that? the Moat or farther away from the action?

your minimum is what matters the most, then tip, then when you get there. seniority doesn't come into play as much as you would think unless you're dealing with someone in upper management or an owner.

I'm doing a Thursday with a group of 6 (50/50 ratio). My minimum spend was at $1250 & $250 host tip. After this little discussion with dnix I'm going to bump up to $1500/400 and make sure we get to the club before 11:00. My goal....Cabana 21.

I like 21. Just depends on what kind of clientele they have that night. BTW...youll actually be spitting 21. Its divided with ropes.

I'm cool with that. #1 thing we love about Vegas is meeting new people! I am getting a little concerned my last couple of emails re: a cake for the bday girl have gone unanswered...I guess if I don't hear back after a couple weeks I'll....well not sure what I'll do. I REALLY don't want to be a pain in the ass.

Cabana 21 is cool!! We had half of Cabana 21 with 6 people a few weeks ago on a Saturday night. The other half was a bachelor party that went through 8 to 10 bottles of Grey Goose because the security guard kept sending bottle rats in all night (kept us laughing all night!!).

There is a rope that separates the area down the middle. You will have plenty of room. Plus its alot more private then a table in the general population area.


Try to get Cabana 21 or 22. Cabana 20 is OK, but the view is better from 21 or 22.
