When do you start packing?

2 weeks and 6 days left until I return to Vegas for a friends birthday!!! 4/12-4/15

I was ready to go back soon after I returned home from my first trip for New Years so needless to say I'm beyond excited to return.

Just started doing some light packing today to make sure I didn't forget anything important like I did last time =/ How early do you guys start packing?

I've already started...sort of. I hate packing so usually what I do is when I hit the 60 day mark of my trip, i'll gather all the stuff I don't plan on wearing during those 60 days and throw them in the suitcase and put it off to the side. So that by the time crunch time rolls around, majority of my packing is done.

Packing? I'm a guy. unless i am gone for more then a week anywhere, my "packing" consists of 2 pieces of carry on luggage. Last time i was in Vegas- i took 1 carry on, bought a 2nd backpack there, and just bought socks and ginch (gonch?) while there.

pretty much as soon as I book, if shopping+thinking about the right clothing counts as packing.

If you mean putting things into a suitcase type packing....24hrs before, at earliest.

Make a list. I know that sounds weird, but trust me, I keep a "Vegas" list on my comp., and it just makes getting stuff together so much easier. You know what you took last time, what you need each trip, and you dont ever forget anything.

I have diff lists for diff places, as I travel a lot for work too. Just makes it easier knowing what you usually need.

the night before........unless I leave late afternoon, then the day of.
I try not to make it too complicated so if I pack last min, it makes it easier on me. This way when I get out of the shower and use random items I throw it in a bag and pack it(shaving cream, etc). Only thing ive ever forgot was a cell phone charger, TWO TIMES! ive fixed that, and now keep a charger in my suitcase haha.

About 2 weeks ahead... I do the same thing..set aside a suitcase and start tossing things in there I won't wear between then (ie all my ONLY Vegas-appropriate dresses haha) and my heels and stuff. Then usually crunch time the day or two before when I repack and eliminate stuff that won't fit lol. I usually drive though, so luckily I can bring as much as I want.

Not weird at all. I checked out the Vegas packing guide on here and its pretty helpful, I certainly could have used it last time.

I flew out from the bay area last time but we'll be driving for this trip so I wont have to rush it too much and can bring a few extra things like stacy said. Idk if its just the excitement of traveling or what but I usually like to start packing early

I usually start shopping about 1-2 months ahead of time then I have time to get my dresses altered if I need to and usually about a week before I pack everything. I already pack waaaay too much as it is (you never know how many dresses you will need) and if I do it last minute I feel like I'm forgetting everything and just start throwing stuff into my suitcase!

What! I make lists man... this is Vegas!...a list of what liquor to get @ Walmart, list of what i'm wearing to and where i'm going for the pool parties, a list of where we're rollin to at night, a list of what I'm wearing each night...and finally a list of the hosts that match my day/night lists! Oh yeah I need to add a damn powerstrip to my list....every outlet is usually in some weird place if it's not already taken. Then those lists r written on 3x5 index cards and go thru security w/ me cause u can't trust those tsa agents . damn gotta add old Vegas room keys to the damn lists of lists....

I make a list for any trip I take. It feels a little OCD but I'm never missing anything! I start packing the weekend before. I'm too lazy to do anything after work then the gym. I just throw a suitcase and throw stuff in as I think about it and check it off the list.

30 minutes before I walk out the door I throw everything in a suitcase.

im going those exact same dates (april 12-15) and havent even thought at all about packing yet. i usually pack the night before or the day of if its a late flight. if i feel like refreshing the clubbing wardrobe, ill buy something the weekend before.
