Do you plan to post a review of your experience at 1 OAK?

I already had a friend go there. Tim (luckythirteen) and he said he loved it. He didn't have a table either and was solo. I trust his judgment. He's been to all the top clubs.

I know the loudest ones in the room are the complainers but 1oak needs more positive reviews. I keep hearing the same complaints over and over again about security being very rude not allowing people to stand in one place and that the dancefloors are extremely packed like serious fire ******** to capacity unsafe. I have experienced this before, clubs need to stop packing people in like absolute sardines 110% capacity . More and more people are walking in saying F this and walking out. I think it's a real problem that needs to be addressed.

Tao and Bank get the same complaints on THIS FORUM and they seem to be doing fine.

Yelp...Maybe it's just me but I think the only reason I would go on that site was if I was a pissed off person that couldn't get in, or if security really pissed me off. Other than that - I wouldn't go on there to post how great of a time I had, I'd rather keep it low key on how great the club is. Less cawks.

If you take a look at some floor plans of these clubs you will see that the general makeup of square footage use is about based on a 12k sq foot club with actually useable space is more like 9k sq ft with a typical dancefloor of 1100-1600 sq ft

65% VIP tables yet only accomadates 10% of capacity
10% bathrooms yet might accomadate 2% of capacity
15% general space . bar , entrance, isles etc yet might accomadate 20% of capacity (less if your told to keep the isles clear and keep moving)
10% dancefloor which is usually less then 1600 sq ft yet is supposed to accomadate 68% of club capacity leaving people with less then a square foot of space on the dance floor.

Yea , not feeling that at all. At least when clubs are at 110% capacity. Not enjoyable. Clubs need to start restricting the amount of people at these clubs it will make it a better experience for everybody not to mention safer.

Is the coat closet bigger then the dance floor at 1-oak?! Really??

Dance floors don't make clubs money.

Start a club and show them how It's done Irock lol, cause marquee, tao, bank, surrender, and really most Vegas clubs fall in to your complaints.

Your complaining about 1oak, which I don't think youve ever been, yet you build Hyde up, and you've also never been. Hyde have a huge dance floor???

Lastly, NO club dies from reports of being overcrowded. In fact, quite the opposite. Again, Tao gets this complaint weekly on this forum. Reporting a club is overcrowded is actually a positive report. Your just getting OLD Irock. Lol

                      Brief background:

-Friday night - Opening Weekend of the Tourney
-9 guys, 3 bottles but of course a 4th bottle was ordered around 1:00am
-Reached out to Joey about 2 weeks prior to get the ball rolling....smooth and straight fwd communication.
                      -Appearances by Kardashians & Mayweather

Started out at Rhumbar for a few and then got a text from Joey around 1030ish letting me know that shit was getting very hectic at the door and we should start heading over asap. Once we got there I saw exactly what he was referring to. It was absolute chaos at the door with mobs of people everywhere. However, this wasn't an issue at all for my boys and I bc we muscled our way straight to the front of the rope. Joey was right there, I got his attention, and we got walked right in. Table location was perfect and we were directly in the middle of action. Security guy came over as soon as we got seated...I tipped him and he did an awesome job all night.

From there the crew and I crushed it and parties our asses off. Plenty of beautiful women everywhere ..even better my boy and I ended up leaving with these 2 chicks.

All and all my experience was amazing. But like anything else in life, it's all about what you make of it. Finally, I def wanna co-sign Joey as a host. 1OAK may get mixed reviews from various people but there's no denying that Joey is a great host.

So if I had to rank each of the spots we hit based purely on my personal experiences it would be:

                      1. GBDC - St Patty's w/bs
                      2 (tie). 1OAK - Friday w/bs
                      2 (tie). LAVO - Sunday w/bs
                      4. Marquee - Saturday presale tix....Kaskade...no bs...it was cool and all but wayyy to crowded to truly enjoy.

To each is own ladies and gents and it's all about what u make it.

I will say, I actually didn't like the Bank too much because of how crowded the dance floor was. It felt a little too packed where i could hardly dance. Didn't help there was a drunk guy smoking on the dance floor right next to me as well.

Agreed. I'm actually getting to old for the overcrowded hippiest place. Ive actually never been to marquee and its not a must see for me. I just disagree with Irock using those reasons to support the title of the thread.

Ok correction 1-OAK is healthy lol. Im not into crowded clubs and Hyde is a lounge not a dance club. I'm one of those people who will walk into a club and if it's 110% capacity I will walk right out and never go back. More and more patrons are starting to feel this way and it's obviously reflecting in the reviews on yelp and TA. You seem agitated David. Crowded clubs don't bother you because you like to sit not dance. So you can care less if dance clubs are over crowded. most people go to clubs actually to dance without feeling like your in a sweaty mosh pit. And when they pause to stand and the only place is in isles or bars and are rudely pushed along by security thats not cool. There's obviously a big issue with trying to keep isles clear for egress but it wouldn't be such a big deal of clubs were not over crowded. I have not been to 1-oak but I know people who have and I have done my research . I'm more of a tier 2 club person I guess. You can have the sardine factories. And it looks like YOLo did get BS?
