The thread title is "1oak not looking to healthy" not "what David looks for in a club". I quit going to the bank a long time ago. Didn't even go for the event in may. 90% of the time I go to XS it's on Sunday, because its less crowded and less of a hassle. That's just me. It obviously has no bearing on the health of those clubs.

Everyone has reported the club being crowded and busy, including Colton, so of course your title got my attention. I was really curious to what you had to say, expecting reasons like, low sales, only 50% capacity, senior staff quiting do to lack of clientele, ect. But your complaints are the same complaints that well established, solid clubs get everyday. So this thread makes no sense to me.

Agreed. I'm actually getting to old for the overcrowded hippiest place. Ive actually never been to marquee and its not a must see for me. I just disagree with Irock using those reasons to support the title of the thread.
I must be getting old too. Less crowded means I generally have a better time because I can drink and socialize vs. being shoulder to shoulder with a bunch of 20something yrold, drunk douchebags bumping into everyone and spilling their $20 drink all over the place.

How does that not make sense???? After reading the reviews with common complaints on top of only 26 reviews in 3 months Deffinately does not look good for a super hot exclusive tier 1 club. Are you Dillusional or something??? Yes most major clubs get the same overcrowded complaints but they also get loads of positive reviews heavily outweighing the negatives by the hundreds. If clubs want to be shoulder to shoulder like Carolina J mentions I will walk right out of the bitch. It's not my thing that's why I hate Tao. How the hell can you enjoy it? See nix your looking at it from a business point of view, pack em in like cattle , take there money , maximize profits, who gives a shit if it's over crowded to a point where it's unsafe and un enjoyable. I'm looking at it from a club goers point of view.

lets be honest.. the only real judge of whether a club is good or not is yourself. there are just way too many variables to base it on what other random people say.

True....but since I dont go to every club, plus Im biased towards Wynncore clubs, Ill form my opinion off of forum member reviews over yelp reviews every time.

Plus if you were "hooked up" and put on the "list" then find out your name isn't on the list, then it wasn't really a hook up. Duh. Work with a reputable host for fucks sake.

Also, people always complain how rude everyone is. If you don't have a host and don't tip and ask dumb questions then you are gonna have problems.

If Yelp users had their way, we'd all be at Beauty Bar and Double Down Saloon. At one point, those were the highest reviewed nightlife venues for Vegas.

Regarding 1OAK, it is definitely doing very well right now, and I think it will eventually slow down just enough to not be shoulder to shoulder all the time.

Regarding David, yes, he is old. haha

I ve been following the thread and have some thoughts. I would like to personally apologize for anyone who have been mistreated, felt over crowded, or could not get in. 1 Oak is still pretty new and not the largest of venues. I have never experienced what it may be like to not get into a club or wait hours only to pay a large cover and be over crowded once inside. My heart goes out to those people. Their have been a few nights where we were sold out by 1045 and at capacity by 1130. These are the type of nights that make and break a club. You get a massive amount of complaints from the people that didn't get in, waited hours, and felt overcrowded once inside. However, i think their is just as many, if not more, people that had the most amazing night of their life. As a host, I do my best to try and put myself in the shoes of the client. I treat others the way I would like to be treated. For anyone who has had a bad experience at 1 Oak I invite you to reach out to me. I will do my best to try and make it up the second time around.

i think this is very true. and not only applies to 1oak, but any type of customer-service entertainment place. typically if i had alot of fun somewhere, id probably tell my friends and recommend them there.. and thatd be the end of that. however, if some place pissed me off or rubbed me the wrong way, id try to make it known to EVERYONE to make sure they feel the repercussions. and i think this happens so much with review sites like yelp
