  • 4 Guys hitting Vegas for the first time...need help

As the title says, me, and 3 of my guys are planning on hitting Vegas for our Spring Break, plan on arriving there Friday March 9th 2011, Tuesday March 13th.

We are still looking for hotels right now, anyone know any strategies to find the best value?

Were not set on room assignments yet but we are probably going to do 2 per rooms, maybe a suite. We also need some clubs to go to, preferably hip/hop or similar club, but I think we're open to any kind.

I already sent an email to [email protected] already, I am a little unsure of how working with hosts really works.

    any information helps, thanks
    Upcoming trip:
    Mayweather Weekend 2015 (again) Sept 11th - Sept 14th 2015 [Vdara]

    Past Trips:
    Spring Break 2012 (Lv1) March 9th - Mar 13th [Palms]
    MDW 2015 May 22nd - May 26th 2015 [Flamingo]

Basically at the top of this site there are free direct contacts to every Las Vegas Nightclub. Contact these people & converse via call/text/email whether you want to purchase a table & go the right way (VIP) or just get entry. Even if you're not big drinkers the whole point of having a table for a group of all dudes is to offer pretty ladies a drink & a place to sit down!

Man this is a group of 4 college students...we DEFINE big drinkers lol..but as I said, we're college students, so we are trying to stretch our dollar as far as possible. Is buying a table ? worth the value for us?

I also looked at the nightlife tips the site gives, HUGE help! thanks

Since you guys are heavy drinkers it might b cheaper for you guys to get bottle service since you will be paying for admission and or greasing the host on top of buying your own drinks. A lot of clubs offer b1g1 or b2g1 deals depending on the night and venue. Just look around the forums and ask host questions.

Check out Palms Place for a 1 BR Suite -- they're surprisingly affordable and you'll have a bunch of good options in your hotel/@Palms to check out club/barwise one of your nights. The suite'll make you feel like your doing Vegas like you've envisioned and I'm sure since you're all in college 4 to the place wont be a big issue for you. I definitely did worse in my heyday.

Plus it's great for first timers because Palms is still a pretty good party crowd in the casino (which doesn't get outrageous table minimums at night since it is off-strip, so you can actually gamble on your college budget). Being able to come home at 5 AM, wasted, and fire some cards without waking up down $1000 is big for your first Vegas trip.

There's a lot of different Palms-affiliated hosts on here you can get in touch with too -- which'll help you guys get in. Also, if GBDC is still going on, I'd definitely check it out on Saturday; that's pretty much what I bet you're looking for partywise. Just wall-to-wall crazy.

Funny you suggested the Palms, we actually booked 2 rooms at $49/room per night on Hotwire, so about $25/ person per night at the "regular" Palms. Was going to try a $20 trick when we checked in for a suite also.

I also already posted in an GBDC thread, they say they may keep it going while we are there just based off of how popular it has been. really hoping thats true, would be right up our alley.

Man you just have me 100x more excited for this trip lol

Wow -- that's a really good room rate. Hard to argue with it. The normal Palms is definitely not as nice as Place or some of the newer hotels on the strip, but I doubt you'll care at $25 and striking distance to the clubs you'll go to at least one night. Plus the 24-hour McDonalds.

Since you've never been to Vegas, my other rec for underrated non-drinking/non-gambling daytime activity is a trip the Gunstore. It's fun to fire an M16 or the gun from Die Hard. Can't really do that anywhere else in the country that I know about.

Check some of the bachelor party threads for other ideas of the trouble you dudes can get into.

Just keep in mind the Palms has a $100 per night Security Deposit they receive when you check in.

Pay it in cash, and when you check out go hit the Roulette wheel and try to double up.

Yea thats what everybody has been saying, I didnt know what to expect for rates.

But the gun club sounds damn cool, gonna have to check that out.

                          best bet

find a good host and just literally say heres what our budget is and heres what we can stretch it to. and they will line up stuff and give you the break down. Some dont realize how much money they will spend paying cover and buying drinks 10-20$ a drink at the bar how quick they spend 1000 dollars. So if a host breaks it down for you it will be all good and you know what to expect

See, thats our problem, we dont really know wht our budget is mainly because we dont know what to expect!

how much is the average cover on the weekend?
