Big Girls in Clubs

Hey guys, I'm a newbie here so I figured I would kick start my introduction with a strange question.

Let's be real - I'm a big girl. I'm 25 years old and I wear anywhere from a size 16 to a size 22. My larger end sizes tend to come in when I wear dresses because I'm very large busted.

My question is regarding whether or not I will have a difficult time getting into clubs - or if I will stick out like a fat thumb. I will be in Vegas in March for my bachelorette party/wedding and my friends and I want to go out to party.

I like to consider myself a fashionable chick, and am by no means a slob when it comes to presentation.

From some of the posts I've seen on this forum, a lot of people are not fat-friendly (edit: maybe it wasn't this site, apologies), so I was a little bit concerned I might find myself receiving not-so-friendly feedback.

I'm never usually concerned with what people think, but from all of the research I've been doing about going out, I've gathered that if you're a woman you'll have no problem getting into clubs. Does that apply to all women?

Im not in anyway involved with a club management so I dont know if there is any spoken or unspoken rules about peoples appearances.

But to be honest, go as you are. If you present yourself well, dress well, then go for it and go to the club that you want to check out. Don't make that a factor IF you're going to try to get in certain places.

I honestly don't think a doorman is going to deny someone because of their size if theyre willing to pay to get in. Theres 3000+ people at some of these clubs. Its not like a 3-400 capacity club in Hollywood. So I highly doubt Vegas is like that at the door. If you do encounter that, thats unfortunate but there are dozens of other clubs in Vegas and just move on to the next one. Don't let it stop you from having fun and finding a place to party.

May I suggest that you sign up for a pub crawl like Nite Tours or Party Tours or one of those that takes you to 3 good clubs and ultra lounges

Do that the first night and dress to impress

You will get into all the clubs with no issues and once you are in, you can see if you like the club or not and if it is your thing

Once you have identified a club you like, the next day you can come back there or do the pub crawl thing all over again. Each of them goes to different clubs

Also those tours are very bacherolette friendly with party buses and free girly drinks ( )

P.S. BTW, screw what people think of you. You are who you are and if they don't like you it is their loss...Life is too short to worry about shallow people. Enjoy every moment you got

Also, lots of guys like bigger women. Just because they haven't piped up doesn't mean they're not thinking it.

I disagree. It usually takes you to 2 below average clubs and 1 decent or average club.

Too the OP: How you dress and carry yourself has more to do with how your treated at the door. Guys have more trouble getting in than any girl.

When you say "I've gathered that if you're a woman you'll have no problem getting into clubs" - you're not hearing a commentary on the ability to get in at all, you're hearing a commentary on getting in fast/free.

If you're in double digit sizes, I wouldn't expect to get pulled out of line by the bouncer - that's just honesty. You will get discounted admission, but probably not comped.

That's not the end of the world though, 'cus guys don't get pulled out of line for comped admission either =)

Wear good clothes and get in line early (or buy a table), and you'll be in the club in no time.

I've seen large women in clubs such as Tryst and TAO regularly.

I definitely don't have a problem with my body (I'm pretty much fabulous, no big deal) but you never know who will...

Now I just need to figure out where I want to go on a Monday night. Damn Tuesday wedding!

Girl, don't sweat it! You're fabulous and you'll have a fabulous time! If you're not looking to get a table, email some hosts/promoters and get on guestlists as a bachelorette party. Have a blast and who cares what who thinks, it's your bachelorette party and all that matters is that you have a good time!
