So I'm heading to Vegas with a small group (3 couples) in March, and I'm always interested in suggestions people have for nightlife. Now I've seen the "which clubs" thread, but we're all mid 30s and don't need to find any new friends, so my question is...
Which bars or clubs will I not feel like a baby-sitter in? We've all seen the creepy older guy in the corner of the club, I don't really want to be "him".
In other words - which clubs have an older crowd, but with credible music? Just because I'm over 30, it does not mean I want to listen to Abba or any kind of Disco music. Also - it needs to serve decent cocktails, such as a drinkable Manhattan or Old-Fashioned (with absolutely no pre-mixing), or have a decent wine list.
I've been to Vegas before (got married there!) and my favourite drinking spots were places like Frankie's Tiki Room, the V Bar and the Beauty Bar. Is there anything similar opened recently?
Places I've always thought look good include Drais and Tabu, never managed to be organised enough to get in though, are these places that I'm looking for? If so, what sort of times are best to hit at the weekend, and should we just walk up?
So... any suggestions? Where do the older crowd hang out? Bonus points for suggesting anywhere which is uniquely Vegas.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
