30-35 drinks in a bottle????? Those are some weak ass drinks. Ive done both lots of times and Bottle Service has ALWAYS cost me much more out of pocket, so people can do the math all they want, but Ill never be convinced BS is even money. Not even close. Especially with 2 people, which is normally the case for me.

That being said, I get BS 90% of the time now. It just more relaxing and enjoyable, so Im willing to pay more.

My wife and I with 2 friends renewed vows for our 25th and used the contact info from here to get on the guest list for the Palms. We all got in for free and didn't wait at all. It was Thursday night so it might be busier Friday/Saturday. We wish we would have gotten a table but didn't want or need bottle service. The information for contacts here is great. Maybe we got better service because of the wedding dress and tux? Ghostbar and Moon were amazing.

Yeah 30-35 drinks is way off. Here's the math we did.

There's 21 shots per standard bottle. Bottle cost us $525 not including host tip.

We got b1g1 for all bottles so that means 42 shots for $525. That equals $12.50 per drink (525/42) and that includes tip to waitress.

Low price mixed drink costs $12+tip to bartender (this trip I found they were $15-$18 though).

Additionally you have a place to sit and keep your stuff.

Now if I just got a single bottle, this would be poor math cause I would basically be paying twice as much for the table.

Heres the math 1 liter = 33.8140227 US fluid ounces, bartenders only pour 1 oz in a standard bar drink. Math is dead on

If a bartender is giving you exactly 1oz of liquor in your drinks, switch bartenders. Good bartenders fudge, ALOT.

Regardless of your math, the majority of people spend less at the bar then with a table. FACT

Dude, maybe at a local bar or center bar if your tipping, but at most clubs they have this thing that measures the shot perfectly, if they dont have that they are also on a bunch of cameras. I doubt a Vegas Club will be pouring heavy drinks.

Anytime we're getting bottles, we're only getting about 20-25 drinks out of it. Someones always pouring a bit more than the others. lol.
And later in the night, while the pace gets a little slower, I'm sure everyone is tending to pour a bit more than usual too. haha.

1 liter = ~34 oz
that means you should be getting about 17 drinks max out of a bottle.

1 bottle = 17 drinks = $425 (+20% grat + 8% tax) = $544 (excluding all other tips)
*Lets say 4 guys to this bottle*
$544 / 4 = $136 per person for entry and 4.25 drinks

4 guys @ $30 each for admission = $120
4 guys to get 17 drinks = $14 (per drink) + $3 tip per drink = $17 per drink
= $289 total for 17 drinks.
$289 + $120 = $409 total / 4 = $102 per person

By doing it based of these numbers (just a shot in the dark) sure it would be cheaper to not get a table... but for an extra $36 per person you get the following:
Place to land / spot for girls to rest their sore feet from heels
No waiting to get it
No waiting to get drinks
your drinks are mixed with 2 oz. of booze as opposed to 1/1.5 that a bartender might give you.... and you control the ice.
.... is that worth it to me, yes..... will some people say thats a total waste, yeah, sure.

Especially if a host can hookup a B1G1 or something, then the value is obvious

Are they 1 liter bottles or 750ml bottles? 750ml bottles is 25 and change ounces. This is what most people buy when they go to the liquor store and buy hard stuff.

As for 1oz pours, a true shot is 1.25-1.5oz not 1oz. This is based on the US version of a "standard drink" equating to one 12oz beer, one 5oz glass of wine, or one 1.5oz shot of 80 proof spirit.

Based on a 1.5oz shot (44ml) there's 17 shots in a 750ml bottle and just shy of 23 shots in a 1liter bottle.

The standard drink in the US is also based on the average time it takes for the alcohol to be processed out of your system completely. Basically the rule of 1 drink per hour (though other factors can speed up or slow down this process)

Over the last 10 years or so bars and restaurants in general have switched from the "standard pour" to a 1oz pour to maximize the life of the bottle and to maximize the dollars being spent on that bottle.

Darryll explained his math well. No point in trying to dispute it. But all of the math in this thread is based on a EXACT number of people, precise pours, ect.

Bottom line is, if BS was really the same cost or a few dollars more for the majority, everyone would get it. It's not. Host don't quote $100 min spend per person, they qoute based on table, group size, DJ, ect., therefore cost is always different based on each individual group.

The last table Darryll had, each person spent $350+. I could use those numbers to prove my point, just like we can use the best deals out there with max number of people to prove it the other way.

BS is always BS considering the wholesale and retail prices of the alcohol are less than we tip valet. (Though tipping is in a whole other thread right?)

So if this thread is to debate BS then we should consider many more factors which are far too numerous to list here right?

I think the original post in the thread was asking for a cool place to go and enjoy a couples night or two. What are the suggestions surrounding that request? I am interested for when I am with my girl out in Sin City!
