  • Kickback for taxi drivers

Just Curious. How much of a kickback do taxi drivers get for taking you to a stripclub? My buddy and I took a taxi from MGM to Spearmint and I was drunk talking the taxi driver into giving us a free ride. Basically I told him I know he gets a kickback for taking us there. He kept denying it like he didn't know what I was talking about. So I told him instead of dropping us off at the club to drop us off across the street and we would walk across. Needless to say, he changed his tune and gave us the free ride there. I vaguely remember him saying something like 100 bucks per head, but I could be wrong. anyone know?

I thought it was generally $20-30 per person, depending on the club. As a general rule I always ask the clubs to send one of their cars over, if only to avoid being steered into one of the clubs paying higher kickbacks.

I've also stood there while the cabbies have collected there money from the side window as well. Spearmint Rhino is $35/person to the cab if I remember right. Sapphire I'm not sure. Crazy Horse 3 is $25/person I think to the cab. (Entry for the strip club generally runs $20-$50 depending on the venue and busy the night is)

Save yourself a lot of frustration and money by just calling the strip clubs main number and asking for a free limo pickup from whatever hotel you're at when you get the urge to go. The ride is free and entry through the limo entrance at the strip club is free also regardless of how many guys you have. You're merely expected to tip the limo drive upon arrival. any tip is fine and there is no set number. I've done as low as $20 upto $100 depending how big and ridiculous acting the group was during the trip lol.

If you have a host you use at the strip club, they can setup the free limo for you as well.
      Great post, thanks Noah

If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

I dont doubt your numbers for a second Noah, I just thought it would have been a lot less.

Yes, JC peeps, never take a taxi to a strip club. They hate paying these guys, that's why they will pick you up for free and give you no cover.

I am going to call for the limo for sure, that is BS!!! Thanks Noah! I'd normally tip the cabbie a $20 but not if that is how he is rolling. I'd much rather give a limo driver 40-80 and have free entry!

Really mind-blowing to think that the club cover pretty much flows straight through to the cabbies that brought the customers. Has this always been the case? How did it end up this way?

This thing is so bad. With the passage of time, this thing is increasing. I think there should be a strong check and balance upon the taxi drivers so that the chances of thing will be minimized.

I dont see it any different than clubs paying Indy host, promoters, ect. Its just a referral fee. Rather they suggested the place to you or not, the fact is, they brought you there and there getting credit for it. Do yall really think industry people dont suggest clubs based on financial gain? Thats why its up to you to be smart as a consumer. Unfortunately, most are not. Seriously, were talking about information that is so easy to get informed about it.
