XS Saturday night 8/11 - Calvin Harris

Ok, looks like we have quite a few people in town for this. Wanted to start getting the numbers together and contact Ryan Perrings for a quote for bs.

The 4 in our group - 2 guys & 2 girls
Pantlessbellman - 2 guys
Loaf115 - 1 guy 1 girl
Felipe_raul - 1 guy 1 girl
Gsuwinsudont - 2 guys

That makes 12. Did I miss anyone? Are you all interested in bs? I read somewhere guest list for XS is pretty tricky so we'll have to include the girls in our quote for bs. I haven't worked with Ryan Perrings before, or any host for that matter, but his name is all over the host appreciation thread. I'm open to any and all suggestions. Never been to XS so not sure what tables I should request. I figure I'll just ask him for all our options. I'm not too picky, as long as we have a place to sit down and put our stuff & can see the DJ booth I'd be happy.

I now send all my XS bookings through Ryan. He's been easy to work with and quoted accurately and decently quick to respond if he's not in the middle of running tables during a busy night.

Ok, been busy lately but finally sent Ryan a text and he quoted me 4 bottles for 12 people, or 3 people per bottle. Bottles start at $575. Sounds like a pretty standard quote for bs from what Ive read on here so let me know who's in. Also let me know if there is anything else I should be asking him cause I've never been to XS. Table location is not the biggest deal for me as long as i can see the dj booth. Just want to have somewhere to put me stuff, get drinks and sit down when I need to.

Verify with him if thats an outside or inside table. Other then that it sounds accurate for XS.

BS noob here. How would splitting the tab work? Would everyone pay for their own bottles and split the taxes and tip? Or would we share bottles to cut the cost down?

Awesome, that makes 6 of us for sure so 2 bottles. I would think a decent table would require another bottle, just because Calvin Harris is headlining.

Yeah, I figured I'd get a better idea of how many bottles we were gunna get then ask him what table he plans to put us in. Don't want to be ON the dance floor or anything, but wanna make sure we can see him spinning from our table

I was thinking we would just pick a few bottles and split em, that way everyone is paying the same amount. Unless you want your own bottle or whatever. I'm sure we could figure it out either way. Amount per person I would like to figure out well ahead of time so everyone can budget accordingly. I haven't done bs at xs but several years ago at rain they took the money for the bottles pretty much right away so before we go in we can meet up and everyone can throw in their cash so we don't have to worry about splitting up the bill inside the club. I def want to get that stuff taken care of before we start drinking, otherwise it can cause problems. Plus, don't wanna have to think about anything once we are dancing the night away!

I would say plan on 30% for waitress tip and tax. Then whatever we decide for our host tip (no need to go too high here because we are not going to be looking for a better table or anything) and a plan on few bucks for the security guys or bus boy or whoever else at your discretion.

Anything inside is a pretty great spot. Outside and it can get a little dicey unless you dont mind seeing the back of Calvin Harris head.

Although XS did remodel their DJ set and put huge TV screens everywhere outside.

I am always down to hang out with cool people but I think you have to pay to play. I am not rich or anything, single mom/full time student, but this is our one night of big time spending so I'm trying to do it up right.

If you don't wanna do bs with us, maybe we can meet up some other night and hang out. We will be using our vCard most other nights to get into the clubs. Bought 2 for our guys on groupon for like $49 each so that way we can afford bs sat night :-)

By the way, not sure exactly what you ment so sorry if I took it wrong. Looking at it again maybe you were just trying to save money for the table?

If we end up with 10, which is the # if you end up going in with us, I would prob ask if we could do just 3 bottles, to keep the cost down. 4 bottles between 10 people is getting a bit pricey. Hopefully, with the ratio we have, this won't be a problem. I don't think it would be an isssue to have an extra girl tag along at most clubs but XS seems to be a little different so not 100% sure. I have no problem asking though, so we'll see.

OK sounds good! As long as we dont go "crazy" with the bottles we are in!
