I went last year and it was a pretty good time. I was sort of over it by the 3rd night though. Babysitting friends, too much to drink, not enough sleep, hot etc...
If i was gonna do it again i'd probably only do a couple nights and then spend the other day out in vegas on the strip.
Heard the pool parties during that time are nuts -
I will also be there with my girlfriend. First to EDC. Didn't buy any tickets yet. We'll go only one night or two nights and spend time on the strip also. Do you think I'll be able to eventually buy tickets for one night only ? I guess some people will strip their 3 day package into individual nights ?Trip # 11:

From what I remember last year it was tough to find tickets. I saw tons of people at the speedway asking if people were selling them. I would def buy presale to guarantee you will get in. If you even are able to find one there then you will be paying a pretty big price tag...
As far as splitting up the 3 days thing... They couldn't really do that last year because all 3 days were loaded onto one card (that looked like a hotel room key) So the only people selling 1 day tickets was those with 1 day tickets that couldn't go for whatever reason.Comment

Anyone have thoughts on whether or not the ~80 bucks for the Shuttle Pass would be worth it? Seems like it'd be cheaper to just split cabs with friends.
The other consideration is the wait time. Anyone have experience on the wait to get a shuttle vs. the wait to get a cab?Comment

Yeah I more or less was thinkin about limo service. I bought the shuttle pass as a back up. Limo seems like it would b most reliable and cheap if everyone pulled thru on some ends? That's what this place is here for right ?*iVegas*

It was bad from what I heard from everyone I know that went. Take into account I live out here so a lot of my friends drove. Going and leaving was a mad house. I suggest having a lot of patience. You will have a great time though! I probably will be working and miss it once again lol.Clubs I have visited:

From my experience last year: EDC 2012
Bassrush massive at Orleans arena was nice.
Friday traffic was beyond insane- driving it took me from the Encore to the Speedway 3 and half hours EACH WAY! for a 15 mile drive.
Saturday was ended early because of wind.
Sunday I bought a shuttle pass off someone for like $25 and it was like an hour and half each way.
Monday I saw Afrojack/ Guetta Encore beach club and Diplo/skrillex/ afrojack at XS
For those going this year:
EDC tickets are estimated to sell out by April 30th!
If you just want to go one day I would either buy a three day and go Friday and sell Saturday and Sunday.
For example buy for $300 sell for $200-250 because most people want Saturday.
Or wait until Sunday and get a Sunday for $75-100- because people have to leave.
I think VIP tickets aren't worth the extra- all you need is GA.
I think the shuttle is very good- if driving/cabing I would leave VERY EARLY take the highway and try and remember where your car is because its a disaster trying to find it afterwords.
Last year EDC week all vegas pool/nightclubs had amazing lineups and talent- this year they should be better with Light and Hakkasan.
Lights production might be even better then main stage EDC-have to wait and see.
All in all a great weekend to be in vegas with a lot of talent if you go to EDC or just go to clubs.Comment
