As for EDM, there is a pretty great scene in Seattle. It's actually one of the places where the music thrived for years before going mainstream in America (Decibel Festival...look it up). Also, C89.5 FM is based out of here, and they've been playing dance music for decades. And a new club just opened that is absolutely great (I say that in terms of it being Seattle). The first month has Manufactured Superstars, Sasha, Dirty South, Crystal Method, Paul Van Dyk, Norman Doray and more. It's a great scene.
I'm not saying Seattle is the greatest place on Earth (personally, I'd like to get out for awhile somehow). But for someone looking to relocate, it's a great option, especially if they're coming from Colorado.
