So it's perfect timing for Vegas. I started in mid-Januaury. I wasn't overweight but I was definitely skinny fat, haha. I've been hitting the gym religiously, lifting heavy. As well has HIIT 3 times a week. That combined with 500 a day calorie deficit and 40-45% of my diet protein and 10-15% fat has gotten me down to 13% body fat and much more muscle. Not to wear I want to be yet, but I'm in the best shape of my life ready for the pool partys!
This last two weeks I'm planning on cutting carbs down as low as I can and uping the protein (and fat a little). So hopefully I can cut down a % or two in the final stretch.
That's great work on the diet and workouts.

Agreed. I know I will be hung over. I know I will be exhausted. I know my diet will be terrible (alcohol all day plus one meal of not healthy choices). I never plan to do any cardio. I hit the hotel gym and do a short weights workout for one reason only - to try to get a pump before I hit the pool. I feel awful in the gym.

Exactly what I expect... waking up hungover, head pounding and forcing myself to the gym. I'm generally very disciplined but this seems like a super hard challenge. I really hope I'll have some healthy food while in Vegas. Working out without having some clean food in my stomach doesn't make much sense to me. I might put some fitness model posters on the wall next to the bed for motivation, this might help lol

I use to plan to workout in Vegas but it never happens. I'm too busy recovering then preparing to leave for a day party...I dont' really change my workouts for Vegas....I just stay in shape year round.

I workout on Vegas trips. When I get a great sweat in the morning, it helps to flush out the toxins from the night before. I feel better, faster. It helps me to wake up and feel good about the day. Also, our hotel offers free water bottles and fresh fruit. So, I drink a couple of bottles while working out and take some fruit and bottles back to the room with me.

Last time I went, I was of your mind set... but struggled to do so because of being hungover etc. I agree with you... if you can... by popping serious sublingual B12s and Pedialyte and force yourself to get there... Its the best way to sweat out the toxins. Plus... then doing to the day spa after that.

Do you guys hit the gym while in Vegas? Actually I plan to work out every morning when Im there. To me, a perfect day starts with a nice workout session. However I see the problem in Vegas, too much booze and not enough sleep won't make it easy lol I'll try my best though

For a quick diet with results, and a trip fast approaching, I reccomend Atkins diet. You will be miserable, and hate everybody, but it does work short term. The long term is clean eating, fasted cardio or HIIT cardio, and heavy lifting. I'm talking big lifts like squats deadlift and bench. Ladies, don't be afraid of this, I see women tone up much faster hitting heavy weights, then the "cardio bunnies" who never get off the treadmill

I typically lift 5x a week for about two hours at a time.
As a former college football player, I almost have to if I don't want my muscle to atrophy and turn into fat (I detest cardio).
6'3", 280lbs, 36" waist. If I want to tone up before a Vegas trip, I cut my caloric intake down to 2k a day and eat very, very clean. If you eliminate the carbs a couple of weeks before your trip, you'll be successful in losing a lot of the water weight.
