  • Gambling at Cosmo

Last time I was in Vegas the gambling at the Cosmo kinda sucked. Hardly anybody was gambling and it was just dead and lacked energy. Has the hotels gambling base picked up?

I was there on a Friday night back in October and while the bars were jumpin the casino tables were pretty dead.
We only gambled there for like 30 minutes then headed over to Monte Carlo around 1 and gambled there until 6.
Had a blast gamblin at Monte Carlo

When I was there a few months ago it still sucked. I love the bars and restaurants, but could not imagine gambling there again.

I loved it the first time I went there (last summer) but that was mostly because I seemed to win whenever I played, now I really don't find it all that fun, I've lost every time I played in my past 3 trips... The minimums are just ridiculous most of the time, and it just doesn't have the buzz the rest of the place does.

Out of the top tier hotels in Vegas Cosmo has my least fav casino. PH across the street is better and more fun. We gamble there whenever we stay at Cosmo.

Encore is my fav place to gamble at night (on the nights where XS is open). The gaming area right around the corner from XS is money and has a lot of traffic. Early in the night it's a good place to pregame and people watch. Later in the night it's a good place to pick up stragglers from XS.

Looks like nothing has changed. Gambling is a big part of Vegas for me so this actually plays a major factor on where to stay. Was gonna give Cosmo a try but I guess I'll have to stick with Mirage or Wynn Properties. Thanks for the heads up.

I am the same way. That is why I pick a resort close to the action, but not the center of the action. I do like visiting Cosmo, but would rather stay at Mirage.

Cant go wrong with Mirage. Actually wish I could take the casino from Mirage and put it in Aria.

I actually meant MGM/Mirage properties. I like the Mirage cause its close to the action but Aria is growing on me. Venetian and Palazzo have been a staple.

You walked to the Venetian for all gambling or just poker?

I hate gambling at Cosmo. No good people to gamble with and the service is CRAP (a problem I've found with the Cosmo in general). Dealers and bosses are bitchy and dont smile.

Also important for me: with blackjack, the Bellagio has less idiots who screw up the table (i.e. splitting 10s)

Best place for gambling is the Bellagio by far. Great vibe, busy, and very friendly dealers/bosses. Good cocktail waitresses, too. They come by frequently.
